Hello Girls

Just jumping on a few minutes.

Me and hubby are off to the gala day, window shopping, something to eat then the pictures - don't often have him off Satrudays so it will be a nice treat.

Is this cheeky or does someone want to do a swap with me?

In this months No1 cross stitcher - issue 228 August 2010 - there is a free kit. The kit is a surprise either Be Lucky (a tattoo style swallow) or Vintage Sampler (home sweet home). I got my subscription copy today adn got the swallow but would of prefered the home sweet home - is anyone wanting swap? I know I won't be doing it right away as I have a few other free kits waiting to be stitched.

I got the swallow too, sorry. At least the mag has the chart for both kits. That's the problem with being a subscriber, I guess-we don't get a choice of kits.

Been finishing off my packing today because tomorrow I'm off on holiday!!! :j It's my 30th birthday on Tuesday, so I'm off to Center Parcs with some friends. Will take my netbook & try and check in during the week. Taking some stitching too, though doubt I'll get much done. Plan on lots of swimming, relaxing and eating pancakes & BBQ food!

evening all, hope you had a good day sweetcareer and have fun on your hols ruth
got to tell you about my bargain was in sains today and they had packs of 27 penguins reduced to 10p !!!! so i got 10 they dont go out of date till the middle of 2011 so not sure why they were reduced but im not complaining they can sit in the cupboard it will take us forever to eat all 270 but what a bargain 270 penguins for £1 !!!

Can I suggest trying this to help use them up? http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tim_Tam_Slam
Tim Tams are similar to Penguins. It's ok with penguins, but if you ever see Tim Tams, buy them & try it with those...YUMMY!!!!

ohhhh i wanna play tooo!!! wonder if MrM has them on offer not had a penguin in years!!

oh well 90+ minutes of solid stitching now while hubby watches the footie.
