Question: Does anyone get 'Cross Stitch Gold' magazine??

I was reading last months Cross stitcher and saw an advert for CSG with this design:

I have more than likely missed the mag on sale, but would love to stitch it for my mum's birthday, can anyone help me out with finding the chart? *nudge, wink*;)

Didn't stitch at all yesterday and probably won't today either. My Dad was taken into hospital again late Wednesday night, another Angina attack.
Hopefully he will be home today, though he's annoyed not to be home already, he has a job he wanted to get finished today (he's a self employed tiler)

Going to try and get ironing done quickly this morning so I might get a few stitches done before visiting this afternoon :D

Good progress, Shelly. It's coming along very nicely.
Hope your Dad is out of hospital soon.

the england pattern i sent you i was looking at the other day and realised all the symbols are really similar so i have worked out how to print it out so that it is coloured blocks rather than symbols which has made it a million times easier to read, let me know if you want me to email you this version, i deleted your email address lol so will need it again

    happy stitching

    HI Maria

  • There's some lovely stitching going on and hi to the newbies.

I'm actually posting to pick people's brains here, my pattern says to use E3852 , but there's loads of it and i remember people mentioning kreninik as a better replacement, i'm presuming the blending filaments in the kreninik range is the corrects thickness for replacement, but which shade as there's loads listed here http://www.sewandso.co.uk/ran504-0.html .

Bubbles i realised ages ago you offered me an angel chart and i never replied yet, well its ok i have 10 charts lined up to do so i dont really want to add more to the list atm as they're probably going to take a life time.

better then me........... whips came to mind!!! :p

I was killing my self laughing at you two. Pity I can't tell hubby the joke - will have to remember it when it comes to our anniversery. Got a bid on for suede jacket and a back up one ready for a leather jacket. Subtly asked what he thought was better, said one of the boys at work was getting one (I work with a bunch of guys) and asked me as girl what I thought was better to wear - hubby said to me if he got a suede one he would look posh and rich, a leather one was for everyday and the bad boy image lol. So I will see how my bids go.

You mean you had to choose - cross stitch comes first every time - apart from when I have to go to work.

    Kind wishes to all

    sweetcarer ;)

PS Hubby has tomorrow night off work - first in ages - looking forward to some quality time.
