Hi emzy81

Coverage isn't too bad. As you can see the background is quite a bold colour and doesn't really show through much at all. HTH. Don't know if you can make out the date on it (1992:eek:)

I've noticed a few of you saying that you stay up very late to get some stitching done. I confess that sometimes I am still stitching at 2am, munching on a bag of tortilla chips (nacho flavour) and watching QVC in the background .
How late do some you actually stitch ?

I cant afford to go to a hair dresser, my friend is a mobile hairdresser so I die my own about once every 3 months when I can afford it and she comes and cuts it every 3 months or so. The rest of the time I cut it myself, as my hair is short its quite easy just to trim it. It only costs a tenner for her to cut it then I dry it myself. I never used to think about paying out for a colour cut and blow dry and the hairdressers, now I would kill to have one to feel special! San Fransisco looks lovely.
Yep, it was lovely! I haven't had my hair cut for almost a year. My usual hairdressers has closed so I wasn't sure where to go. The last place had a great offer on-cut, colour and style for £20! It was a proper 'granny' salon and it was only round the corner. I found a place on LastMinute.com that was a cut & colour for £22.50 at the Hilton Park Lane. I thought this seemed reasonable, so that's where I went. The college by where my mum lives has a salon and a dry cut there is only about £5. It's hard to find a place you're totally happy with though.
That paragraph sounded foreign to me! I only use Aida, ruth honey is sending me some even weave (not sure what count) to try for the first time.
I'll be popping your evenweave in the post later today. It'll be 28 count, which is equivalent to 14 count aida. Let me know how you get on with it.
Been stitching some more on Balloon Girl today. It looks odd close up with the all different colours around the black, but from a distance, it works.
Off to see Michael McIntyre tonight. It's a show where he's trying out new material, so should be fun. It doesn't start until 9:30pm, though!!! I'm usually ready to go to bed about then.Cross Stitch Cafe Monthly Challenge Member #27

My mum is jealous too. We were watching his first DVD on holiday & she loved it. We saw him at the O2 last year & he's brilliant. This venue is tiny compared to that and we're only 5 rows from the front!!!:j:j:j Must take camera....:DCross Stitch Cafe Monthly Challenge Member #27

Depends what I'm working on and how much I am enjoying it. With my lake picture I was easily up till 3am at the weekends.
I don't get time to stitch during the day, so when I do pick it up at night, I hate stopping!
Feel so bad I can't get to grips with this afghan, I HAVE to complete it by Fri, but I just have so much other work on atm.:o I have figured out why I'm not enjoying it though....I can't use my (luvverly) lap frame, so am back to single hand stitching, which is giving me a clicky wrist and it's blimmin uncomfortableCross Stitch Cafe member No. 32012 170-194 2013 195-207.Hello Kitty ballerina 208.AVA 209.OLIVIA 210.ELLA 211.CARLA 212.LOUISE 213.CHARLEY 214.Mother & Child 215.Stop Faffing Completed 2014 216.Stitchers Sampler. 217.Let Them Be Small 218.Keep Calm 219. I am off to John Lewis tomorrow to get the remaining threads I don't have for the Charlie and Lola charts and I must remember to put my mag in my bag today as I left it in my sewing bag and so couldn't copy it:mad:
thirfty
If you have time you should buy your threads from the website a lot of use for threads as they are only 37p each but you can buy in bulk for cheaper.

I remember buying in John Lewis a few years back (at least 7 years ago) and they were 75p each then.
Kind wishes

so a pic of my 1st (ish): with details removed for the recievers privacy-and in case any one who knows me is around0
