I haven't heard any more about it - I thought someone said it was in 'Cross stitch crazy' (?) but haven't got that mag yet myself
I just had a look there it's next issue of Crazy out on the 11 May.
I made quite a good bit of progress last night so I'm quite pleased with myself. So I am challenging myself to have it all done by Monday so I can start on May stuff
Hope you all have a great day stitching .I'm not a muggle...I'm just magically challenged0 -
Wow there always seems so much to reply to lol...
Funfairprincess welldone on your progress
23rdSpiral I thinks its in the next issue out soon so thats good! and welcome back, glad you had a nice time
Bubbles welldone on doing an OU course, id been thinking about doing a distance learning class for a while but they seem quite expensive. What course have you chosen? Good luck with it and again well done
Also I have heard that ESA is stupidly hard to get, aparently its not organised very well atall and people who should obviously getting it aren't, im sure I read they were going to look into it, so fingers crossed they sort it out! I also heard that someone from the citizens advice can appeal with you and that they are very good in getting the decision made in your favour, I don't know if that helps you?
Also thanks for the tip about the stains, thats very useful to know! and its nice that you can open up on here
Spottybutterfly It will be good to know what the aida is like from there
Keiss Thank you for the picture showing how you do it, its a really good idea and really helped. I hope you had a really lovely night last nightId love to go to a posh restaurant but as well as feeling out of place i don't really like 'posh' food, there is always some sort of sauce on it, im a very picky eater I don't like it but I just don't like much food...give me sausage and mask any day :rotfl: :rotfl:
Kez the book mark looks great :j
Witchwoopiggy you are really getting on well with hogwarts aren't you!
Louise thats terrible about the fabric, I bet you were really disappointed after you'd gotten all ready to do it
Harley Well done on finishing the vest! Oh and i love the name Toby
Are you feeling any better now? I hope you are and im sending get well hugs to you anyway
And ill send some extra hugs for anyone who needs them :grouphug:
I really hope I haven't missed anyone out!
My fabric arrived today for the 'in love' haed so thats exciting! spent ages yesterday winding threads onto bobbins...still have lots to do (serves me right for leaving them all lol) I might rope my OH into helping me0 -
Hi Emzy.
I'm starting to feel better thanks, so I don't think it is Glandular fever although I did get the blood test this morning just to check for sure. But Antibiotics haven't completely killed it either so not sure its Tonsilitis now. Hopefully I'll have some answers tomorrow.
I love the name toby too, was on my list if Kezia had been a boy. He is a lovely baby and I can't wait to get cuddles tomorrow, health permitting. I've taken photos of the vests all ready to post tomorrow night, would be nice to get pics of the babies together wearing them too but that might be asking for a bit much. I'll see what SIL says when I give her the vest.
Kezia doesn't seem at all willing to sleep today, although she keeps rubbing her eyes and seems sleepy the best I've got in one go is 10 minutes. I really want to get some Humphrey done so I'd love her to get a good couple of hours between now and dinner time. She always has a much better night when she's slept during the day so keep your fingers crossed for me.

My fabric that I got on ebay arrived this morning I thought I got a bargain 2x pieces at 99p each and 98p postage. The only problem being I read the listing wrong 25x25 cm NOT inches:mad::oI'm not a muggle...I'm just magically challenged0

Ahhh the joys of eBay! I had a similar issue today, the bookmark interface arrived from eBay and it's way thinner than I imagined. I'm not sure it will hide the stitching on the back but I'm willing to give it a try.
Shelly, there were no instructions with it (sorry!), I'll still put some in the post for you, hopefully between us we can figure it out lol.
Bubbles, if you pm me your address I'll send some out to you this weekend.:xmastree:What a splendid idea, this Christmas sounds fun. I fully endorse it, let's try it at once!:xmastree:0 -

i hope you dont mind me trying to help, if it is iron on interfacing then its shiny side down ie shiny on back where stitching is, then just iron with hot iron, hold iron down then lift and move iron if need be , you can use another bit over the top if you want to try and hide stitching more, but always cut out size needed before ironing or you will end up with it stuck to your ironing board lol0 -

Thanks Witchwoopiggy, :T much appreciated. It is the shiny stuff, I'm glad you said you can do more than one piece because it's definitely going to show through otherwise. I think I'll have a go on a test piece before I attempt my bookmark!!!
23rdSpiral, guess what. . . . I arrived home today and my copy of Cross Stitch Crazy was behind the door. Page 48 is the I stitch therefore I stash!!!:xmastree:What a splendid idea, this Christmas sounds fun. I fully endorse it, let's try it at once!:xmastree:0 -
Does anyone know of any really good American cross-stitch websites, please? I have an American friend coming to visit in a couple of weeks' time and she is willing to bring stuff over for me if I get it posted to her house. Too good an opportunity to miss! So I thought I would ask on here if any of you have come across sites you would recommend? I don't have much money and I think the currency is still slightly in our favour so I'm hoping for some bargains!
Also, does anyone know of a chart which has a bouquet of winter flowers (hellebores, holly etc)? I saw it at a craft fair and ummed and ahhed about it, and when I went back it had gone! I have tried searching online for it but have had no luck. It was a kit, but I can't remember the manufacturer.
I took my dogs with me to vote today, much to the horror of the lady behind the desk, and some of the other voters. Apparently you are allowed to take your dogs in with you if you want, but other animals are at the discretion of the staff. I voted on the way back from our walkie and it was much more convenient than having to go out again. If you ride a horse to the polling station though, you have to leave it tied up outside. Truly, our rules are quite bizarre, but I think they are quite lenient so as not to put anyone off voting.
Well, we'll know tomorrow, I expect, unless something goes wrong with the count. They should get us cross-stitchers on the job - we're used to counting, lol!Aspire not to have more but to be more.
