Sorry to hear about your concerns after Jury service Ruth, I am excused from it as I work in a "high security place" - one with bars on the windows.
MrsMac get your butt in gear and start stitching again
Welcome newbies.
Glad everyone liked my wee funny - felt we needed a wee bit of a laugh.
Crafty - I use the bobbins for small bits of thread and the skeins in something like this ....
Though mine is a bit smaller that. It is usually used to store nuts, bolts, screws, etc.
Louise love you finished work - purple is my favourite colour - you must be a speed stitcher. You should do something with your work you still have to frame - don't know what.
Bubbles great to have you back and showing off your work - you have some beautiful pieces there.
Right I am off, make hubby his dinner, take him to work, come home and have a large vodka - to start of my holiday :j
Kind wishes to all

I need to get to get it framed now and will post a pic once it's done

I was hoping to go to London zoo over the weekend, but it looks like it's going to be raining Sat & Sun. Could go on Monday as we're staying at a hotel near Tower Bridge, but that would mean taking the overnight bag with us as you can't check into the hotel until 3pm....hmmm...what to to?
Plenty of things to see near there. Is there a particular reason that you are around that part of London? We didn't have alot of money so we just followed the Thames Path.
Started the Newton's Law bookmark at lunchtime today, it's a bit fiddly but I should be able to get it done soon.
Had a ad-hoc trip to the shop cos the cat managed to loose her collar somewhere with her name tag on.I don't like her being without one, so she's now got a bright pink one with reflective cats eyes on it. :rotfl: Hopefully I can pop in town to get her an official one with new name tag.

Welcome Mad as a march hare I love that 'sprinkle when you tinkle' design....didn't someone else on here do that design too? Im sure I remember seeing it when I first joined. Anyway I really like it so I might have a search and buy that kit.
Well done Mountainofdebt can't wait to see a pic!
Lelc and Ruth i really hope I never have to do jury service! I got called up about 5 years ago but then it got cancelled for some reason (i can't remember why)

We'll be staying at the Travelodge. No particular reason for there-just because it was £9 in the sale a while back (November?) and thought it would be nice. It's only a few minutes walk from hubby's work & we live in zone 4 in East London, so not that far from home really. Thought we'd see a show & have something to eat and it'll be nice not to have to trek back home after. I didn't realise it was a bank holiday when I booked it. If it's not chucking it down we might take a walk along the river.Nice pics, btw.
I like that Newton's Law bookmark. It's really cute. Look forward to seeing a pic when it's done.Cross Stitch Cafe Monthly Challenge Member #27

Doesnt look like anyone is on for the party, never mind. anyway when we started the challenges we were supposed to vote on a winner but everyone has done so well it would be impossible to chose a winner.
Here is the list of Aprils challenges and everyone who completed theirs (as far as I know) has got a party but I think everyone deserves a pat on their back, not just because of how we have done with our individual challanges but because of the support and encouragement we have all gave each other. We are all winners and long may the challenges continue!
