Hi everyone! Finally getting some time to read through all the posts properly and catch up with all the new pics.

    Harley1-Congratulations on becoming an Auntie!

Bubbles-Hope you're feeling better now. There are some horrible people on the forum and there was no need for them to follow you onto here. Don't rise to it-just report them and come back here for some friendly faces!
I'm a Lost fan too, but I am soooo far behind. My Sky+ has episodes from last season on there! :o

Can I be added to the May challenge, please? I haven't got a number yet. I want to finish the Everything Brings Joy chart for my husband. Anniversary is May 25th, so I need it finished by then. I also want to wash & finish the backstitch on the Golden Gate bridge kit. That should keep me going until the end of May. :)

Simac-The polar bears look wonderful! :T

Nmm-So close to finishing now. Well done!

*Louise*-72 pieces of finished work unframed???? You HAVE to start framing those up-or make them into cushions or something. People should be able to see them & admire how lovely they are!
Your Stealing The Moon looks amazing. I love the colours of it & adding that border works really well. Your daughter is very pretty, too!

23rdSpiral-I think your kitchen motto is great! I don't think it needs anything else added-just perfect as it is. :D

Sweetcarer-That 'You know you're living in 2010 when...' made me laugh! :rotfl: SO true!

Mountain Ash-Your pheasant is very striking. The colours are great.

Kezbabybabe-100 acre wood team diet looks fabby. Love the Bang on the Door too. I have several of those (some finished, some part done...;)).

CraftyGranny-I have stitchbows in boxes too and I'm getting fed up with them falling out. I spent quite a bit of money on that system and I hate to waste money, but I am thinking about finding another way of storing my threads.

    Emzy81-Happy belated birthday! :bdaycake:

Mad as a March Hare-Welcome to the cafe! Thanks for sharing your pics so quickly. Love the dog one.

MrsMcawber-9 days??? Almost fell off my chair when I read that! Hope you're ok...

I'm interested in the charity quilt idea too. I'm sure I can find some time to stitch something. I can't sew at all though, so my contribaution would only be a cross stitched square, I'm afraid. I'll subscribe to the appropriate thread and catch up with the planning after this...

I finished my jury service yesterday. I had 2 cases in total-both lasting a half day, then a full day, with the closing speaches & verdict given the following day. The first case was not guilty. I still think the girl did it, but as there wasn't enough evidence to prove it, and the witness accounts didn't match up, we had to find her not guilty. The 2nd case we found the woman and man both guilty. They will be setenced in 4 weeks. She cried when the verdict was read out and the man looked upset too. There was a man in the public gallery who we assumed was the girls boyfriend. He was a huge, very imtimidating man and was watching us all through the trial. I was a bit concerned to find out that he was hanging around the car park after the verdict, so didn't leave until he was gone. Had nightmares that night too, and woke up screaming in the early hours. Jury service should not be like that. You shouldn't feel vunerable doing it. Anyway, that case finished on Wednesday and although we were called back on Thursday, there were no cases for me, so was told to leave about noon and not to worry about coming in today. :)

I was hoping to go to London zoo over the weekend, but it looks like it's going to be raining Sat & Sun. Could go on Monday as we're staying at a hotel near Tower Bridge, but that would mean taking the overnight bag with us as you can't check into the hotel until 3pm....hmmm...what to to? Booked tickets to see Bill Bailey in June-got front row seats! :j
I'm off to Gloucester to see Mum next week. We're going to spend a couple of days going through Grandma's house and sorting things out. It'll be so strange with her not there offering us bacon sarnies and endless cups of tea. I miss her so much. :(

Right, I'd better get some washing on and maybe sit down and stitch for a couple of hours before hubby gets home.

MrsM, please can you let me know which website you used for your frames. I've tried searching back through the thread and I can't find it!!! I remember you recommending somewhere, I need a nice frame for my bears.

:T Mad as a March Hare - I love the family tree, what a lovely idea.

Emzy, where did you get the 3D kit from? I'd love to have a go at one of those.
:xmastree:What a splendid idea, this Christmas sounds fun. I fully endorse it, let's try it at once!:xmastree:

I think you'd also like Waxing Moon designs. http://www.waxingmoondesigns.com/home.html

I have one of theirs "Everyone brings joy to this house, some when they enter, others when they leave!" - Am looking forward to stitching it and putting it in the porch.

Have failed miserably to complete my April challenge - could get a lot further if I didn't keep having to go to work, how annoying that life gets in the way of stitching:p Am going to sit up late tonight to get as much as I can done - dh has gone away for the whole weekend (including monday) so I have got the kids all to myself so going to be busy playing with them until bedtime each day so can't see much stitching being done unless I can persuade them that 3pm is a good bedtime:j

I'm actually stitching that one right now!!! I'm doing it on linen for my husband. He doesn't know & he'll be home any minute, so I'd better pack it away & hide it...
I've also stitched 'If I stitch fast...' and I have 'Welcome to the nuthouse' in my stash. They do some great Halloween charts in their range.

I had a very similar experience. The trial that I was a juror for lasted a week and it concerned two real ape looking thugs. They had supporters in the gallery who were at the entrance/exit whenever the jury entered or left the court building. I was looking over my shoulder for quite a long time after they were found guilty and sentenced to prison. Not a nice experience.

Dorastar - you're not alone as I've also failed my challenge. I am hoping that I will get it finished by the end of the weekend though.

It's not good, is it? You'd think they'd protect the jury a bit more. Apparently all security had to say to one girl who ended up parking next to this guy (not sure who arrived first) was "you can park somewhere else". It might be the biggest court in Britain, but there's only one entrance to the court (for jury and the public/people out on bail) and you're also likely to bump into people at the tube station. I ride a motorbike & there's one space in the whole car park to park. And during the trial, I passed this guy on my way out, so he knows what my bike looked like. I was expecting to find it trashed after the verdict. If I'm called up again, I *will* find an reason for me to be excused! :(
