    Morning all
Haven't been on for a few days -and "forgive me friends -for I have sinned -has been a whole 9 days since I picked up my sewing" :rotfl:,,,, So even though I haven't finished the left hand side of "golden earths" face I don't mind as I did more than half the width and some hair:p...
I guess that makes my MAY target to finish her face and get some more hair on her noggin :p

    Happy belated birthday emzy :T

Harley -hope they get you sorted out and have you feeling better soon

Well i am as keen as mustard to get started again i was up until 3am sorting through my bag of bits.

I'm off to do the school run, but hopefully when i get home i will take some pics of my finished works, and also i will take a pic of my UFO and will add it to the May challenge, but will have to see how much needs finishing on it first and decide what i will try and achieve:rotfl::rotfl:

Mountain Ash, I love the bright colours on your Pheasant!

Kez, the Winnie team diet is great, we need one of those up on the kitchen wall by the 'goodie' cupboard :rotfl:

Mad as a march hare, welcome to the thread!

Here's my week 1 progress on the kitchen shelf (as you can see there's some brown shelf wound round one of the sidearms but it's only a few rows of brown so didn't think you would mind me not unwinding it)

    Photo-0005.jpg

I have gone wrong already on the lid of the tea pot/coffee pot. Was trying to stitch and watch footy last night and have put the top most blue bit (don't know what to call it :rotfl: ) in the wrong place, it's only 1 square out but noticeable to me. I'm not moving it till the end incase I don't have enough thread to do so.
:heart2: Love isn't finding someone you can live with. It's finding someone you can't live without :heart2:

Don't know how effective it would be though, given that Winnie is getting past the defences... :rotfl:

    Evening folks,

As promised earlier, here is a photo of my finished pheasant. He still needs washing and pressing, and I now need to find a suitable frame for him, but he is finished before the end of the April challenge. :j

I love your finished pheasasnt. The colours are lovely well done!

ok, I'm finished with the stitches on the 2nd vest (woohoo) just the back stitch and ironing on the interfacing to go. Really want to give it to him tomorrow for his mummys 30th birthday so I am thinking I'll give mini music (baby singing) a miss and try to get it all done. Also need to go to town to get the last of SIL's birthday present.

Unfortunately I'm ill again. (Getting pretty fed up with it to be honest). Went to doc this morning assuming it was tonsilitis again and she says not and I have to be tested for Glandular fever:eek: Would explain why I'm all achey and tired and stuff but just put that down to being a new mum.
Anyway, due to the receptionists perception of 'urgent' my blood test for it isn't until next Thursday. Can see me being back there tomorrow as my throat is so sore:(

So, going for an early (ish) night and hoping I have chance to get this stitching finished tomorrow morning before DD wakes up. Might have to set the alarm.

    Have a good evening all

    xxxx

PS, well done KEZ on the first of the may challenge... you are setting a very good example.

I hope you start to feel better soon. I share having crap doctors with you. Mine actually gave me someone elses sick note and gave the other person my morphine!
This is my first post on this board, i have only just discovered it, well actually i found it 3 hours ago but have been reading posts and looking at all you fab work.:T:T:T

I have been cross stiching on and off for the last 16 years it all started when i was expecting my first baby, and oh god do i feel old now thinking about that:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

Reading through your posts has inspired me to drag out my cross stich stuff again and get started, i have just had a look through my bag and seem to have several kits in there waiting to be done, aswell as my finished pieces of work that have been waiting to be framed, and my very first piece that was a family tree for my baby all those years ago.It used to have pride of place in his room when he was little. and also one kit that i must have started about 3 years ago.

So i'm hoping i can become a regular poster on here and that you can inspire me to get motivated again as i really used to love my cross stich but life has taken over.

Welcome to the cafe MAAMH! Its a friendly place. Iloved the family tree that you stitched, thats a fantastic idea for new babies. I also loved the dog one, I did one of labradors which I am posting below. I always thought I would have a black labrador but ended up with a chihuahua! You posting up your previous projects has encouraged me to take photos of mine.

Most of the projects I do are given to others so I cant get photos of them but here are the 2 tht we have in the house.

I did this one when I was 11. I bought it at harrogate stitching show in the november but it was a christmas gift so started it on christmas day and it was finished in 4 months.

    P1010228.jpg

And this one my brother bought me for my 21st and I finished it in 2 months.

Shelly your making good progress, Im always making mistakes if its too far to unpick I just try and work it into the design. At least that way its original and no one will ever stitch exactly the same! lol

Crafty granny I have aboout 80 of the cardboard bobbins spare if you want them? I bought a box of old threads in a charity shop and there were about 200 of the unused bobbins in there! So if you want some you are more than welcome, having said that I havent left the house for 2 weeks so others are still waiting for me to post stuff!

Kez well done on completing the first part of your may challenge.

Emzy I love the little house that you bought. Is it by just nan? I have admired it before on the sew and sew newsletters they send out. They always depress me as i can never afford anything and always fall in love with something!

I have made slow progress with the angel, been feeling a bit down for various reasons so not done much sewing. I havent entered the may challange yet as not sure what to do.

Tonight there is going to be a huge party to celebrate everyones progress so I hope you can all join in at 8pm! See you then.
