I will be stitching again in 2010, hardly done any this year for one reason or another and I've really missed it so will be going back to it. I hope to start in January so will be able to make things for birthdays, mother's day and Xmas. I've got a pile of charts in my to-stitch pile to get me started
.
Looking forward to seeing what you all make:wave: If you want the rainbow, you've got to put up with the rain :wave:0 -
Hya, I have been lurking for the past few months and admiring all of your wonderful pieces of work.
I had planned to do some cross-stitch for Christmas - cards and pressies, but wasn't really able to get started. I got sidetracked into knitting instead, which was easy and much more comfortable to do at night while watching TV.
I have been ill for most of the past year only became well enough to start to knitting in October, I found sewing was painful and difficult then. I am much improved now and with my new glasses, I can see much better too!
I have loads of cross stitch books and plan on trawling through them soon to plan presents that I can start in January. I managed to get lots of wool with some birthday and Christmas money to knit something for myself. How many of you make lots for everyone else, but end up with none of your handywork for yourself?
I would like to sew a picture for my wonderful DH who's birthday is in March...I am looking for one with Aurora i it, or at least something with an Astronomy theme...any clues as to where I might go?
Hope someone can help me.
Enjoy the rest of the holiday period everyone, snow or no snow! :snow_laug

Ooh, ooh, I found this for my DH's birthday...could take more than 2.5 months to sew though
Off to ponder this for a few days...it will take some time to get all the threads together as well, all 120 of them! I suspect this could be DH's Xmas pressie (hopefully for 2010).
Might have another look around the net. I do love the H&E designs though...DH played Dungeons & Dragons in his youth, so the Astronomer would be perfect! Just not sure if I want to do such a huge project!!

Hi, can I join? I only usually complete cross stitch cards as I only have the patience for small projects but my Mum asked me cross stitch a kit for her about two years ago. I still have it and have been putting it off because it's so much larger than I usually do (about A4 size). This group would be a great help to help me complete it for Mother's day.I :heartpuls M.S.E.

OH's aunty and uncle will be celebrating their ruby wedding anniversary in June and would really like to give them a piece of cross stitching to mark the occasion.
I thought of this http://www.historicalsamplercompany.co.uk/product.php?productid=16202&cat=150&page=1 but was concerned that if one of the couples split up then it would be consigned to a cupboard
I then thought of this http://www.historicalsamplercompany.co.uk/product.php?productid=16139&cat=20&page=1 but then I saw this http://www.historicalsamplercompany.co.uk/product.php?productid=16178&cat=0&page=1 which I like as well.
Can I have your thoughts please? I'm not the fastest stitcher so would really need to get started if I'm to finish by June.
TIA
