Morning all -cor don't some of you get up early

Thought I would pop on to say that I have only ever used the "stich-a-photo" and mum is the same ...I think so far she has done someones dog and 2 from my wedding of 2 of my siblings and their families and now she is doing the one of sis -actually she is doing it twice :rotfl:-she was doing it for my BIL -but I said there was no way she would be able to give it away...so she is doing it twice :p... so far any she has done look like photos :T.
Their service is great too... mum had 2 pics to choose from and 1 was a smaller group pic so it would have been a full length one but smaller and the other was just of sis, hubby and dd ....and closer up ...so mum included both and explained what she was after -the designer chose the one she thought (the one of 3 of them) -but instead of lifting sis off whole, she cropped it down so it was from the waist up and that way it was more detailed :j.... mum rang them to say thankyou and it was the woman who had done it that answered the phone as she remebered it and asked mum if the colours looked right (which they do) -so she has even asked mum for a photo of it when its done as she likes to know she is getting the colours right :D ....it must be good because when you lie the black and white chart on the table -they can see who it is straight away :T
Anyway -after all that waffle -this is the best price on I have seen:-
    http://www.sewalong.co.uk/Photo2Chart-DMC.asp

    @ £15.99

oh and the pics are for an 8"X10" and if I remember correctly they all require 48 colours ...so now folks can work out what the materials will cost

Thanks for the lovely comments on sis folks,,,, I think we have had 2 years we would like to wipe out... mum lost her mum 4 weeks before sis -although she was 95 and kept saying "she had had enough and just wished god would find a little space in his pocket for her" -then we lost sis, mum got breast cancer last year, had a mastectomy and they "got it all" :j-and then I had some of the back of my skull removed..... so I think that all in all a QUIET year would be nice :rotfl:..... Still I know there are plenty of people who have had it worse out there...

    Kez-thats coming along lovely :T
Im planning a day on the sofa -sewing :D -still mainly confetti stitch ..but I must be warped as Im quite enjoying it :p..I think its because I can reall see the detail ...
Sweetcarer .... No throwing your one away ...it will only bug you until its done ;)
Im sorry I can't remeber the name -think it might have been nnm-so who mentioned
    the 7 deadly sin charts ? only I have these 3 :-
    vanityjg0.th.jpg
    lustub6.th.jpg
    envynn8.th.jpg
I have had them yonks -before HAE released them ..so they have slightly less detail (but still about 80 colours I think) than the HAE ones but they still seem rather good -although I haven't sewn one so can't vouch for what they come out like) ... if you are interested in any ...just give me a yell ;)

Right -this is turning into an essay :o so I will get off and get some sewing done..
Have a great day everyone :D

I've heard before that stitch a photo are the best and some of the completed designs i've seen are fab .

Hope this year is a much better year for you .
Hugs to those who need them.

That range is so beautiful. How are you finding it? It looks as if they are difficult and have loads of similar colours. I'm sure it will be beautiful when it's done how far along are you?

Hi princess, I haven't done much yet (about 2 x 5 inch squares) but the bit I have is full of 2 of this colour 4 of the next etc but its not bad. I'm doing page 5 of 9 as its in the middle but having looked at the pages above its loads of block colours and when I say block I mean 2000+ stitches of the same colour!

Ha ha think I will be seeing things once I start that lot!

Right better go make a start on the stitching for today, would love to have the first page completed by Monday...

    They sound perfect :j:j

I'll link to a few of them so you can see the kind of thing I mean. I don't know how complicated you like your designs, but the Teresa Wentzler ones are fairly large and complex with a lot of blending; the Carousel Dreams ones are much simpler but do involve metallics and beading.
