Mine did - paid for 6 one hour sessions. It was a god send because there was (maybe still is) a 2 year waiting list here for one-to-one counselling on the NHS. Even in 6 sessions I got a lot from the counselling, it's amazing what can pour out of you when you have "permission" to talk to a stranger. I spent most of each session in tears but even that was a relief as I don't like crying in front of my family.
Our local branch of MIND the mental health charity offer counselling sessions, priced according to how much you could afford. Some people pay a fiver for an hour and some can afford £40. It might be worth checking with them.
Good luck. Linda xx
You are right Linda, just having someone to cry to unashamedly is quite a relief.
I had to pay for my CBT sessions...£42 an hour ...which is why we have next to no savings left now! I also was having physio at £30 and hour every week too for 5 months or so...VERY expensive with both sessions a week, but worth it...I would still be up to my eyes in medication, a jibbering wreck..and goodness-knows what other physical problems. As it is...I just returned to work last week, after a break of 15 months...nerve-racking and exhausting, but I am glad I am back!
Didn't get any sewing done today, though I might just have a go at a few stitches tonight, you never know!

Country companions - large hedgehog in green wellies holding spring flowers - have got the whole kit . Did one of the smaller ones and nearly came to blows as they have lots of threads where they use one strand of a brown shade with another one and I just can't tell the difference!0

It looks stunning so far!
Stitching on 25ct evenweave 1 over 1.
yesterday I had some fantastic news, my granddaughter had made an early entrance into the world (only by 2 days) so I got to finish the baby sampler (name and date) last night. Boy, did it feel strange working on 18 ct aida after tiny stitches on evenweave!
Usually I would spend most of my day off each week stitching but tomorrow I am getting on the early train and travelled back to the Midlands to see my daughter, her fiance and my 2 granddaughters. Can't wait.£2 savers club. No.90. Aim £500.0 -
Congratulations on the new granddaughter poppet!!!:T
Can't think of a better way to spend a non-stitching day lol
