As you can see I've moved on to the other half of the picture. I did put it down for a couple of weeks I think I had stitched myself out!

Everyone's is coming along really well :D
I'm not done any major stitching for ages, just trying to get back in to the swing of things. Here's how it stands as of last night:

I've got quite a bit of time today while I wait for my boyfriend to arrive tonight from Luton, so let's hope I can make some decent headway with that green grass. :o

Lousie I so need to know how you sew so fast - you seem to zoom through things! I managed to nearly finish a little flower on the fairies last night (an hour and a half!) It is definitely the one Emily liked when she saw it, love the colours

Lol, well I have to confess I am a bit of a night owl. Never get stitching done during the day (3 kids) so when evening comes I can get a good 4 hours stitching time a night 5 times a week.

What also helps is that I find it impossible to just 'sit' and I get twitchy if I'm not doing anything. Even just watching tv I will be stitching or tapping away on the laptop. :o Must be annoying for hubby when I miss bits now and then and ask what's going on, but he's very patient with me :p:rotfl:

Not long to go now Kez,:T looks like you're another stitcher who leaves all the backstitch till last lol, I couldn't - I would never get it completed! I love WTP designs, they always look so cheery :D

I'm just the same Louise, I can't just sit with my hands in my lap anymore, so it's good to breakaway and do the stitching. :o

Thanks! I am indeed, I have done it as I've gone on before, but I find it a bit annoying to remember where to stop it. Plus I love watching the detail come out from the final backstitching. Plus I don't find it a chore at all, far from it, it's more satisfying as I find it quicker to do than the cross-stitching :rotfl:

They sure are and I've still got plenty of them to complete too, then I'm going to be moving up the difficulty chain to something completely different. ;)
  • Hi folks,

I haven't posted for ages, but promise that I have been lurking and admiring your WIP and your finishes. Big hugs for all of you who are having difficult times.

I need to consult the oracles. I'm looking for charts of illuminated capital letters based on medieval prayer books etc. I've found plenty of Celtic/Book of Kells stuff, but that's not what I need. Can any of you come up with any bright ideas?

I was at the NEC on Thursday - maybe I passed some of you by in the crowd (and it was crowded!). I treated myself to this kit - http://www.sewalong.co.uk/ProductFull.asp?sel1=%28DIM%2935173

However, it will have to wait until I've finished my pheasant from Cross Stitch Gold and this one which is next in the queue - http://www.sewalong.co.uk/ProductFull.asp?sel1=%28HER%29JCFU535E

    Happy stitching to you all!

Do you have room for one more small one please?

I've challenged myself to get rid of all my UFO's (and there are loads of them!) this year. I have already managed 2 and I'm working on my 3rd an Afghan I started when I was pregnant with my DD who will be six soon:eek:.

Loving all your completed works and WIP.
