Thank you so much. It means a lot to have friends on here. My friends from back home haven't really been in touch since the funeral. I know they are probably giving me space-and they might be grieving themselves as they knew my Grandma too-but sometimes I just need a hug. I've lost people before but it's never affected me like this. I feel so lost.
Tomorrow I'm going to get my stitching out and do a good few hours of that. Although I don't feel like doing it, I know that it will make me feel better. I'll have to post a pic of how my tulips are coming along. I didn't do much at Center Parcs, but it's looking good.
Thanks again, girls. BIG hugs to you all! :kisses:

Now I also have a question...
For my project it says I need DMC 032 Kreinik #4 where on earth can I get this from? Ive googled it and it looks like shiny stuff (yep thats my technical description! lol) but where can I buy it? Also there didn't seem to be a shade or anything matching DMC 032 Kreinik #4

Coincidentally that is the exact Kreinik shade I was referring to a couple of of pages back :D

It costs nearly £3 for a spool of Kreinik #4 thread but it matches up to DMC's Light effects colour E5200. I'm not keen on metallic thread (it grates on me!) so I swopped it for DMC's satin S5200, and it looks really shiny and nice.

Hello ladies can I join in?
I recognise one name from the flylady thread Dorastar! I have decided that I need to get back to my cross stitch for my sanity and to try to stop me from eating biscuits! I have just finshed a christmas picture which i started a year ago and am now on a flower fairy (lavender one ) for my dd's room. I used to stitch a lot before I had my kids but they keep me too busy to do as much as I'd like.
I can sew other things too and used to make my own clothes but I just tend to do alterations and repairs now or things for the house. I would like to learn to do crewel, crochet, knitting and embroidery and have done a workshop at a show once on crewel work but that was pre-kids too (oldest one is 5 and youngest is nearly 2) so can't remember at all!
My mother- in- law tried to teach me to knit once and I managed to knit most of a cardigan for my son before he was born but I wasn't very good at it as I didn't really get the instructions and MIL is a lousy teacher (i'm a teacher myself so I can judge!). I think I need a class somewhere.
Anway I'm gabbling, time for a cuppa and a bit more stitching I think!:)

Getting on with 'Stealing the Moon'

Just about to start the second page of the chart now

Still enjoying the design, although with 24(!) different shades of purple, I have no idea why :rotfl:

I have no doubt that Pigpens powers are indeed VERY strong - which is why my name is very well hidden from my real identity - have a nasty feeling she might be the real person behind the google van which tracks us all regularly!

Lousie I so need to know how you sew so fast - you seem to zoom through things! I managed to nearly finish a little flower on the fairies last night (an hour and a half!) It is definitely the one Emily liked when she saw it, love the colours
