I know -here was me thinking "I can do them of a weekend as a change from my big one"

they are only about 82 x 37 stitches -unless you add the border -then they are 112 x 69 -but they have added stitches -including:-
    • smyrna cross
    • satin cushion
    • triple leviathan
    • crossed rice
    • algerian eyelet
    • small tassel
    • damond eyelet
    • mosaic leaf
    • crossed rice flower
    • cashmere
:rotfl:...never heard of most of them -but I must admit they look really nice on the finished pic

    Oh....My....Word.....

A lot bigger than they looked in the pics then....flipping heck they will be a challenge in themselves just learning all those stitches:rotfl:

Just wanted to say Thank You to everyone who has replied to my message.

Smudged chart-I'm sure if you email Bothy Threads they'll send a replacement. Obviously I have it at home, but won't be able to email it for a while & that'll be wasting valuable stitching time!

Hi Ruth, hope you are doing ok.

Some more lovely work everyone. My Humphrey is taking its time, mostly due to a baby who sleeps brilliantly at night but not much during the day, and when she does I need to clean and stuff. But he is coming along slowly and now I can load them up I'll try to do a weekly (ish) update to try to keep motivated.

My plan to clean the house yesterday and stitch tomorrow when slightly awry but I'm hopeful I'll be able to get a bit done and maybe conitinue in the evenings if I can encourage Kezia to go to sleep earlier.

Thank you. I ended up buying some square ones from this seller :) I thought they would be good for cross stitch but my 3.5 year old could also draw his 'happy face' pictures & put them inside for gifts as well :)
  • Hi Maria

Sorry for the delay in posting. I do indeed have the dictionary of Bras scanned so if you want to PM me your email address I'll get it to you tonight.
  • Hi

Been following this thread for a while but too shy to post.

nway, I'm in a bit of a panic at the moment - I'm half way through doing a cross-stitch for my Gran's 80th birthday but have recently moved and have lost the chart. Its a long shot, but has anyone done the Japanese Garden by Maia or know how I could get another copy of the chart?

    Thanks
  • Generally most of the cross stitch companies are happy to provide new charts if you call and ask. They may want proof that you had one though, i.e. a receipt so if it was a gift (or e-bay purchase) that might not work. If I had one I'd send it to you but I don't, maybe someone else round here will be able to help.

Also, welcome to the thread, we're a friendly bunch so no need to be shy. And we'd love to see pictures of your work!
