  • Maria, that's a real shame that you might have to give up your project because of a smudged chart, hopefully someone here will be able to help you out (sorry I can't as I don't have that chart)

my 2 weeks off includes lots of time for stressing and I also need to go get control of the allotment, and do some preperation for decorating parts of the house. It's certainly realistic to do some stitching but finishing page 3 would be a challenge. I'm going to give it a try though.

    Morning all -

just sneaking back in to share a discount code I have been e-mailed :p

Wimblebees have sent me a code for an extra 20% off all their sale stuff (and it has 50% off already :T)
just put 2614 into the code box :D
I have just take advantage of it to get some 28ct coloured linen 20" X 27" -should have been £7.79 each ..so I have 3 colours (for the angels) and I picked up the charts of fruits and the one of coffees (thinking of the kitchen when we move) -for a total of £15.83 inc P+P :j
ooohh and I spotted on there 2 of those silouette kits (couldn't link to them so they are theses ones).... and with the added discount they are £6.87 -hope they are of use to someone ;)

  • Hello :)

I was hoping someone could help...I've seen in hobbycraft some coasters & tea pot stands that you can put a cross stitch in, I'm not sure what they are called. Where is the cheapest place to buy that kind of thing from? I wanted to make some as gifts.

    Many thanks
    Hi BabyBoysMommy,

Had a quick peek on Sewandso's website, wondered if any of these would be what you are after:
    http://www.sewandso.co.uk/cat29.html

    Particularly under the 'Framcraft' Section?

I still owe you all an update and I'll do that in a sec.
  • And here I was at the end of Saturday (6th Feb):

Here I am at the end of Sunday 21st Feb:

As you can see I've moved on to the other half of the picture. I did put it down for a couple of weeks I think I had stitched myself out!

Everyone's is coming along really well :D

I had a look on ebay, these seem reasonable:

The link that kezbabybabe put up has some nice ones though, I like the boxed set of 6, and will probably get them myself (will make a nice xmas present)

I know -here was me thinking "I can do them of a weekend as a change from my big one"

they are only about 82 x 37 stitches -unless you add the border -then they are 112 x 69 -but they have added stitches -including:-
    • smyrna cross
    • satin cushion
    • triple leviathan
    • crossed rice
    • algerian eyelet
    • small tassel
    • damond eyelet
    • mosaic leaf
    • crossed rice flower
    • cashmere
:rotfl:...never heard of most of them -but I must admit they look really nice on the finished pic
