I Sky+ Art Attack and most recently with watching Cbeebies with my 6 month old I have now got into Mister Maker. I just can't wait till she is old enough that we can craft together. I got a book from the charity shop today for 49p with 365 Things to Make & Do... I am obsessed!
Lil_p - My little boy is one and we love Mister Maker too, particularly the 'frame it' section!
Seems like lots of crafters have little babes or toddlers. We had great fun making christmas thank you cards the other week - they had LO's footprint on the front (toes at the bottom of the page), then I added antlers, ears, eyes and a red nose with pen to the footprint, and they were rudolf reindeers. I'd love to post a pic of them but think I'm still too much of a newbie. How much longer til I can post pics?!
Take care, Lucy x0 -
whoopidoo: Yeah I used to watch Hartbeat too and it was sad when Tony Hart died.
BabyFranny: The book is quite good, has a good range of things to make. It's by Vivienne Bolton, hardback. I think I was more swayed by the price, at 49p for a thick hardback with lots of inspiration, you can't go wrong! Plus I am a sucker for books.
Kacy1988: The crop-a-dile Big Bite was on offer from here. Sadly it seems they have sold out now, which isn't surprising as the offer was posted on a few threads across the board. I had the crop-a-dile standard but found it quite a task to squeeze and hold the material to punch; I only have small hands. The Big Bite has two feet so it stands on the desk and you use the lever with one hand and hold your material in the other hand. I haven't used it yet but can't wait to get going.0 -

While doing my blog hop this morning I came across a simple knitting pattern for wristwarmers that someone may appreciate. I myself do not do crafts with needles!

I would like to say a big thank you to all you lovely posters. I started reading this thread last night while OH watched the snooker and I have just finished it.
I would like to join the happy band if wrinklies are allowed! Last year I knitted 50 small stockings for my DGC's school. This year I must knit some for my DD.
I would like to say a special thank you for the poster who gave the link to the knitted cupcakes. I will be knitting one for my MIL to be used as a pin cushion as I'm fed up of picking pins off her floor.
And to Rachelet a BIG THANK YOU for the Choc Truffles they sound gorgeous.
