you can make roughly 10 slices of the loofah soap for under £3
(depending on length of loofah)
i now grow my own, but i wasnt adverse to taking my tube to the pound shop and trying their loofahs to make sure they fitted in my tube!!!0 -

i made 4 dozen lollies, and have not one left
i made a "mould out of foil", 14" long, x 9" wide
just fold the edges up so you have what looks like a swiss roll tin made out of foil
melt white soap, and pour 1//3 of an inch layer into it, and allow to set until tacky, approx 10 mins depending on room temp, then score lightly with a fork, (to make 2nd layer adhere better)and do the same with a coloured & "flavoured" layer of clear soap, again allow to almost set, this time approx 15 mins
roll like a swiss roll
cut, and i used "borrowed" starbucks coffee stirrers for sticks
these lollies are approx 9" in total
the loofah shouldnt touch the sides of the can, so make sure it pops in freely
they grow just like a cucumber!0 -
you dont need expensive moulds though
i got a set of plastic boxes, and it came with 4 small round ones, too small for food use
so i made soaps like these
to make the swirly bits inside, you just draw soap through the wide bit on a cheese grater
place them in the tub, pour over your melted soap
i did these, also in small tubs
i cut shards of blue & green soap i had melted & coloured
and then set in clear
these are iced wintermint0 -
You all sound like you've been a busy bunch!
Shame on me for doing NOTHING for a few days *Hangs head in shame*I do have a tendency to talk about utter nonsense at the weirdest of times :rotfl:Happily Crafting away in my Fortress of Solitude (Bedroom)

:hello:I think I could win the award for 'The Best Prepared with the Least Made' category. I have been happy foraging for crafting bits, buying all sorts of things, creating drawer space, storage bins for bits-n-bobs and read books and magazines a-plenty. But very(very) little actual production gong on. I blame work...... if I just didn't have to go to work.....
Love the crayon roll btw, shall go and add it to my 'to-do' list!
i Must be crazy, but I think this forum should have a comedy award. The things you people say has me in stitches. I know how you feel sam, i`m prepared but dont seem to make many things
I love those soap lollies, they`re aceChallenge 2018 - Learn by heart the Book by Wayne Morgan on Amazon - Betfair Football Trading as it helps to supplement my small income :beer:0 -

m&p soap isnt really soap making
its just making things with soap
i hope that makes sense
i use sls free soaps, and even getting some soap and melting it down, moulding it in a fancy ice cube tray, and then putting them in jars looks nice, you can colour them to the recipients bathroon colours, so you dont even need to buy soap base0
