I think these are gorgeous and after making the sock monkey last year I think these would go down a treat! Well I am a new user so I cannot post a link yet, but you might find it on marthastewarts website and look for glove animals, maybe somebody else can post it for me!
Thank you so much. I've downloaded the glove dog and not only does he look so sweet, but more importantly, he looks simple enough for even a scaredy-sew like me to accomplish:beer:0 -
I saw these being made on the TV yesterday:
The video showing how they are made is on line here: http://www.bbc.co.uk/cbeebies/mistermaker/makes/spaceskittles/
They are made using baby shampoo bottle (I only know, as I have got the same stuff!) and a dosing ball.
Hey that reminds me of something I saw on the same show when I was watching with my little sister.
They were those things you stick in your window.
You will need:
Two sheets of Sticky Back Plastic (Same size)
Glitter
Lots of coloured tissue paper
How to make:
1. On one piece of peeled Sticky Back Plastic, throw loads of strips of tissue paper on (Leave a small border so you can stick them together.
2. On the other piece put loads of glitter on
3. Stick them together
4. Hang in window
They'd be great to make with kids and they'd be great for younger children as when the sun comes through it'll shine through the tissue paper and make the glitter sparkle.

Well, I've finished snow bear... and I'm sure you'll agree he's adorable. Sitting 11cm high seated, he's so dinky and cute. I've added pics and info to my blog and a link to the pattern is also on my blog. The original pattern had him sewn wrong side facing, but I've done him right-side facing. Not too much difference with him being fluffy, but matters to me.
Free pattern download is available from here: http://www.allaboutyou.com/craft/Knitting-pattern-teddy/v1
OMG I'm in love he is adorable what kind of wool did you use, I may give him a whirl my mum would absolutely love him as a pressie :j:j Although don't think I'm anywhere near as talented as you are so he could end up a bit wonky :rotfl:
Liesa if you do a list/spreadsheet I would be eternally grateful as I just have hundres of favourites and lots of randoms copies of piccys that i wouldn't even know where to start replicating.0 -

do you know what I WISH I had been silly and put it in wrong, but the actual mechanism that holds the bobbin is broken, it has come away from the housing. I now can't find the original power supply(it never worked from the moment I bought it but I just lived with that) so I think I shall be looking for a new one elsewhere.

My friend had the same problem - she bought it for her daughter, and thought she wasnt putting it properly, but the whole holder thing had broken. Good luck.Loving the sunny days!0 -
Hi lil-p...Do the letters have to be wood? I can make some foam, or card ones for you 3cm high with my big shot, have loads of foam and card, any colour.
Poppy - thanks for that website, I`m off to knit a rainbow friend. I been practicing knitting for a week so hopefully, fingers crossed, I made the ball and cup game...just have to work out how to post a picture.
Do you upload photo to a site somewhere for storage? Do any of you lovely people knowChallenge 2018 - Learn by heart the Book by Wayne Morgan on Amazon - Betfair Football Trading as it helps to supplement my small income :beer:0 -
A few people on the HM soap thread don't use them. Theres a really useful post by EagerLearner that has a link to a foolproof way of making the soap. It even has pictures which I think is better than just reading the recipe sometimes.
If I could figure out how to use the lye calculator id be away, just so scared of caustic soda. I was just going to use the 'melt and pour' but you can only add 5% (may be out slightly) of extra's
Nikki, that %age refers only to extra oils, butters etc you want to add to the soap. Any more than that and the soap won't lather as much.
There's not really any limit on anything else you want to add though. Oats, seeds, botanicals, coconut etc. are all possible with M&P and the only limit is the amount you like for your personal preference.
Another big positive with M&P is that it's ready as soon as it's cooled - no need to leave for weeks and weeks only to find the soap's not quite right or whatever.

Hello Everyone! I just had to share my day with you! My DH decided to take me on a surprise trip to hobbycraft because he has heard me talk so much about crafting and has seen me making lots of different bits and pieces. Problem was I have never been before and go myself so overwhelmed that I ended up leaving with nothing!Taking responsibility one penny at a time!0
