I think these are gorgeous and after making the sock monkey last year I think these would go down a treat! Well I am a new user so I cannot post a link yet, but you might find it on marthastewarts website and look for glove animals, maybe somebody else can post it for me!0

It used to be that I was excited to go to the cinema for a treat, now I am excited to be going to buy a glue gun. This is old age, I know it!

I had a light bulb moment yesterday. Was about to buy some thank you cards for my little boy to post out for his Christmas pressies. Anyhoo, I decided to scan and print off some of his Christmas artwork from school, I popped it on some card that I got from our local Scrap store and used some envelopes I've had for ages. Result, no cost !!
I've popped my blog details in my profile if you want to take a look:hello:

Well, I finally got out of the house yesterday so was able to give my friend the scarf I had knitted her, i thuink she was pleased with it. Stupidly I forgot to take a picture before i wraqpped it up so will have to try and get one next time i see her
The body butters and things sound lovely, I think I'm going to get some of the melt and pour soap base because I'm a bit worried about all the chemicals etc in the soap making. I only use glycerin soap anyway because i have sensitive skin myself.
http://www.justasoap.co.uk/catalog/index.php These people seem to sell all the stuff for making toiletries so I'm going to put an order in next week if no one can reccomend anywhere better or cheaper :money:

Does anyone have any suggestions where I can get some small/medium sized wooden/plywood letters - around 5cm height. I want to make a plaque for the baby's room. But just before I buy off ebay, I thought I'd ask.
Thanks.0 -
Nikki, thanks for the body butter recipe, it looks really easy.
Scoobs, thanks for the details of the soap calculator website, I'll def be using it to double check quantities.
Kevin, thanks for clearing up my confusion and explaining the regulations. I'll look into it tomorrow. You would think that this might have been mentioned in the program......Making small changes everyday....0 -

Thanks.
There is a buyer on ebay who sells the letters 5cm high for 99p each letter free postage, my sister got them off the buyer and thought they were really good.Jan lunch to work days 0/200 -
I normally make body butter with jojoba oil, shea and cocoa butter.
Coconut oil is very cheap from Asian supermarkets. Also I beleive someone mentioned that it was available in Superdrug for 99p. Need to note though that at room temp coconut oil is a solid.
Shea butter - eBay.
Thanks Nikki,
There's a Superdrug in town - will go for a wander tomorrow, failing that there's an aisian supermarket not too far away though will have to wait a week to go and look, will let you know how I get on.
I remember buying beeswax from the local health shop a couple of years ago but can't remember how much/ what qty?!
Can I also ask are thermometers essential for soapmaking? I have a book which says the oils and caustic need to be the same temperature before blending so not sure whether I need to invest or not?:rolleyes:0
