  • Hi everyone, hope your all ok in the snow?

Quick message for Liesauk - LIDL have king & double duvet covers for £12.99 - the one in particular that I've seen is a floral stripe on oneside and polka dots on the other (not disimilar to this from CK) but the floral design is broken up with a patterned stripe (will try and get a picture of it if I o back in store. Very pretty anyway.

    Hello All,

wow so many ideas out there and if i start now i could be ready for christmas 2010 with some unique gifts.

So i will follow this thread and keep you all updated to my progress if you don't mind me joining you.

My thought - considering i'm well stocked in tolls & materials- is to persue my love of minatures and make mini room boxes for various firends/family to try and capture their loves & likes. _pale_

So first to try is for my sister who loves her allotment - The Potting Shed.

So will now go raid the stores to see what i will need to purchase to complete this - hopefully just the glue

    See you all later

jamtart - love it..............would love to have one including all the stuff on it...........:j

Gina - lovely notice board............last two years I was going to make one and never got round to it (whats new..........lol)

Well, MIL's box of cards is all done.............managed to rack my brain and do two 'male' cards to go in it so now its full up.
Not sure what to do next............did cover another box to do some notelets for my son...........think I'd have to consult the ever growing list of stuff and see who's birthdays coming up first. Think its foster daughters and I'm doing a gardening basket for her.........managed to route out a garden apron I've never used, got some little tools, she's already got a Gardening Journal from Christmas so I'll be looking for other ideas for that.
I would be unstoppable if only I could get started !

Well, I have now read all the posts, taken up a lot of the ideas and have, during the jjourney, become quite a fan of Martha Stewart (never thought I'd be saying that). So far I have dozens of plans, dozens of ideas and nothing at all actually been made at the moment! I managed to get out yesterday (finally) and made for our local 'antique' (junk) shop with the idea of finding elegant lace and fabric pieces. I came away with a lovely snowman plate that I am going to make some flannel cakes to put on and deliver for a siblings Christmas present. Not exactly what I went in for but it is a present sorted!

Anyway I am joining in now, which hopefully will give me some momentum to actually do more and plan/dream slightly less.
