Well, I've finished snow bear... and I'm sure you'll agree he's adorable. Sitting 11cm high seated, he's so dinky and cute. I've added pics and info to my blog and a link to the pattern is also on my blog. The original pattern had him sewn wrong side facing, but I've done him right-side facing. Not too much difference with him being fluffy, but matters to me.
Free pattern download is available from here: http://www.allaboutyou.com/craft/Knitting-pattern-teddy/v10 -
He is gorgeous!!!
Slowly getting there with the cardigan for my niece, doesn't look too bad for a first attempt, not sure about sewing it together though... May need my Aunties help with that part!!!

Li'l P - fab bear. Can't believe he's knitted! I'm sure that whatever poor bear sacrificed his eyes and stuffing, he'd be proud to be part of your new bear :T
Liesa - nice quilts - I'm collecting swatches like a maniac to make some patchwork cushions. Problem is I'm therefore seeing loads of gorgeous material that I want to order loads of! Hope your sewing machine got sorted?
Gina - lovely board - I'll add that to my ever expanding list!
I'm also a Martha Stewart convert, as I have been all over her website and got thousands of ideas, particularly in the last couple of days while I've got my mum's sewing machine on loan. I'm in the middle of making a bag at the mo - supposed to be for a present but I love it too much and may have to keep it
I would love the fab crafting room posted by jamtart. Bit out of my league though, so until I get a new room in my house, a whole new wealth of skills and a few weeks to play with (:)), I may have a go at Martha's ribbon dispenser as a start. I can't post links, as a newbie, but if you search martha's site for 'ribbon dispenser' it's the first link.
Keep the ideas coming, crafting buddies :T:T:T0 -
Thanks! His eyes are two beads and his nose is stitched. Big thanks to my Mum for sewing him up as I am useless at that. I really should learn how to sew these things up... maybe the next one I will sew myself :rolleyes:0

hi all,
I really want to thank you all for inspiring me and motivating me into making projects again - got loads ideas for pressies for this year now:j
As you can see, I've even just signed up and this is my first posting as opposed to always browsing at last.
Anyway, I've found some extra easy knitting patterns for scarves, and some lovely recipies for bath fizzies and infusions in books at home which I can't wait to start
I've also tried to sort out my sewing machine, having trouble with the top tension, think will have to get it looked at, hoping nothing too bad.
Can I ask, where did you get the recipe for bath fizzies?
I'm making soap for my SILs birthday following the recipe that Kirstie Allsop used in her Christmas program. I was thinking I could make a 'pamper' hamper but want to make something else as well as the soap. What I like about the soap recipe is that it only uses easy to get hold of ingredients
All suggestions gratefully received!Making small changes everyday....0 -
I'd be careful about the legalities of giving handmade soap away craftdaft. It would be advisable to contact your local trading standards to ensure they're happy for you to do this.

craftdaft, there are also some great pre made soap bases that you can melt down to pop in little moulds.

li`l_p I love your bear he is so cute....
I threw mine in the bin last night after sewing him up the head looked like a mouse and not nice and round!
I`m going to knit up the pieces again and ask my Mum if she will sew him up.

We are in the process of making a version of this out of small scarves, so I guess handies would work too
