jamtart - love the ice scraper............think I could do that by hand )don't have a sewing machine but it looks easy enough.

poppy - lovely stuff...........how do you make the ashtray can ? Not seen that before.

Somewhere on here I think there was a picture of bracelets and a necklace made from buttons............can't find it  Be a good way of using a load of buttons up.

Not done much today (stomach still bit 'iffy') but had a freebie of two sachets of decaf. tea so made a little gift type sachet to put them in for my sons birthday.

    Hi Mary,

they are quite simple to do I don't do it quite the same as this but the idea is the same and as you do more you begin to change the way you do it, another thing, DONT BE FRIGHTENED I haven't cut myself once doing this and I must make about 10 a week. The edges aren't like razors so please don't worry. Saying that I WOULDN'T let one of my girls do this craft. You can also do it whereby once you have cut the top off and cut the strips, curl each strip down a pencil and they make a nice flower shape.

leisa - thanks............looks so easy when someone else is doing it. Wonder if OH;s beer cans would cut that easy  Do you have to smooth down the edges (just in case) ?
I would be unstoppable if only I could get started !

Wow, that's beautiful, how long did it take to make. And how did you make it?
I do have a tendency to talk about utter nonsense at the weirdest of times :rotfl:

To make a mw bracelet like mine you need a 5/6 coil of bracelet mw.

If using a larger coil that needs cutting down, make sure you use proper memory wire cutters!

I used round nose pliers to coil one end into a ring, then thread on your beads. The beads I used in mine are from different sources. Ive used glass pearls, illusions beads, tibetan charms and beads, glass beads, acrylic beads and aluminium beads.

Eeek when I think about the cost of my bead collection!

To finish off coil the end once again with round nose pliers and either leave like that or add a little charm like my angel.

The bracelet took me around 30 mins to make.

I never have done, but it wouldn't take you long if you wanted to be extra safe!

    Poppy?

Where do you get your wire coil from? I have a bead supplier nearby but they don't do the other accessories.

It's beautiful, thanks for the instructions, I was drooling over it on your blog earlier :) So, excuse my denseness, is it like a spiral and held on your wrist like a cuff ?(drooling even more) Where do you suggest the best places to buy beads... ebay? *wipes slobber on sleeve*

all i did was cut the foot off a baby grow ( i pick them up from car boots) stuff it with teddy stuffing. Then I cut out two strips for the legs hand stitch and pack them with stuffing more in the bottom to give it the appearance of feet, I tend to glue them to one edge of the ghost and then stitch them in place ( I don't, for some reason, have any pins lol).
As for the eyes, either they are glued in place or they are sewed (they are donated from the teddies lol)

There are some great ideas in this thread, can't wait to get started, thank you everyone for sharing ideas and I will do the same when I come across them.

Today I went into The British Heart Foundation & bought 2 books which totalled £3.50. Harrod's Book of Chocolates & Other Edible Gifts (which I intend to use to make gifts for Christmas) & Soft Furnishings (because I have just ordered myself a new sewing machine) which both should have totalled £21 if bought new.

    Hugs - Kate.

Pocket tissue holder is something I used to make as a child, they are easy and quick to make and you don't need a sewing machine or a lot of material.

Hope the link works as it's first time I have added a link.
