Just been dealt another blow, my sewing machine I bought from Tesco a few months ago has broken, no matter what I do the bobbin won't fit in, and guess what? I don't have the receipt :(:( I was going to run a couple of ghosts up today aswell.. another expense I could do without really.

Poor you! Do you have any form of proof of purchase, debit card/credit card statement. I am sure if you had something like that, you should be able to get it sorted.

I have searched high and low, because I so rarely use cash in tesco, but nope I am not sure when I bought it so can't tie it to a statement, I know it was back around the new school year. Sighs, I know it wasn't expensive it was about £50.00 but I have hardly had any use out of it. Might take it back and risk my hand saying that I can't find the receipt. they must surely know that they sold it.

Maybe they can track your purchase through your clubcard number?
  • I`m sure it will be fine if you take it back Liesa. Its a real pain when things like this happen.

  • Ive posted these on the crocheting thread but thought I would pop them on here too.
I learned to crochet amigurumis a few months ago and the froggie is the first thing I made.

Sorry to hear about the machine, Liesa. You could try googling the machine make and model and see if anyone has had a similar problem and what they did about it. Also, I hesitate to ask, but are you sure you are putting the bobbin in the right way round? Please don't take this the wrong way - it's the sort of thing I do from time to time; well quite frequently really - I think my life is becoming one long senior moment!!!

I'm also intrigued about the ghosts you are wanting to make. Are you planning on going haunting?????:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

Finished my fluffy scarf for my niece tonight, and my eyelash wook came in handy woohoo! so glad I didn't give it away now.. I made a fringer for the scarf with it.... I think it turned out quite well :) It was bugging me since I started knitting it why I felt the colours were so familiar, and it was only when I started eating my cadbury's caramel that I realised it's the caramel bunnys colours yellow and purple (ok a lighter purple) but now I know why my niece loves the colours it reminds her of sweets lol.. gonna try and get some pics posted on my blog soon - only just started the blog so will have to truely get stuck in!

how is everyone else getting on with their crafty creations??

Your scarf sounds lovely - particularly in the cadbury's caramel colours! :T You could do a whole line of scarves, in Double Decker orange & purple, Mars Bar black and red, Galaxy brown....

My friend is having another baby in couple of months so I'm making her a little organiser for baby's stuff - it's basically a towel, folded and then sewn so it has little pockets for everything like wetwipes, nappies, cream, little cloths, etc. as well as a mobile phone (for mummy, not baby!) It then rolls up and ties into a tidy little roll. Can't use sewing machine at mo as my LO is sleeping so have to wait til nap time is over! I'll share via my blog once I've finished it....

This snow is great for getting on with crafting... hope everyone's okay for milk and bread! :snow_grin
