Hi all,
I have been watching this thread for a while, but have finally made my first item. I have made my new baby niece (now 1 month) some mittens (my first attempt at knitting). They are newborn size, but as she was born 1lb 1oz, I think it will be a fair few months until she is able to fit them. Think I might try my hand at a matne coat to (sorry if I have spelt that wrong).
Have also got my MIL to agree to let me use her sewing machine for a few things, so might make some things for my nieces bedroom, as it is being re-decorated soon. It has been six years since I last used a sewing machine (at school), so will have a few practice runs before I give anything as presents!!! lol.
That is the limit of my skills so if anyone has any other cool ideas, please let me know - looking forward to giving this a go.2022 Target - Reduce new mortgage balance after house move - Part 1 (Ported) Starting balance £39,982.12 currently £37,242.19 Part 2 Starting Balance £101,997.88 currently £96,197.38 (as at 19/04/2022)0 -
Some amazing ideas here - you are all so inspiring
I'm going to sign myself up for sure. I'd like to set myself a goal of not buying any xmas pressies this year but i don't know how realstic that is ::rolleyes:
I want to do an old fashioned sweetie selection ofr my brother so I'm going to have to find a funky container to put it in.
I'm going to do cupcake bath bombs and soaps for a lot of people and hopefully my girls will be able to do those for their teachers and friends, I spent over £50 on that this year so that would be a good place to start saving
The hard ones to do will be my cousin and his vegetarian girl friend, I did them a hamper for 2009 but i would like to be a little more creative this year.
Keep the inspiration coming - you are all fabulous :T:T:T:T:T:snow_laug HM Christmas 2010
