What about giving some people afternoon tea sets, you could include some scones and jam and then send away for some samples of tea and coffee to go with it?
How about a cakestand - secured together with araldite

:wave:Hi rubynewshoes welcome, you make the post as long or short as you want.
The night in at the movies hamper went down really well, and also gave one to a friend who was feeling under the weather, cheer her up a bit....:rotfl:
I agree with star , i would have made similar, even a breakfast set with them with tea, couple of boxes of cereals , teatowel. Some little jams.Challenge 2018 - Learn by heart the Book by Wayne Morgan on Amazon - Betfair Football Trading as it helps to supplement my small income :beer:0 -
love the tea set ideas......for anyone who's on their own you could do an individual one with a nice verse to go with it (there's a poems thread on here somewhere and I put some ''tea'' verses on it yesterday)
Last year I did an ''elevenses'' box for MIL for her birthday.....tins of tea and coffee, biscuits, puzzle books, cup and saucer, and I cross stitched a little coaster of a tea cup to go with it. An ''Afternoon Tea'' box would be same sort of thing.I would be unstoppable if only I could get started !

Ok, had an attempt at some felt baubles today, but think I'll try again as they're a little flat and not as full as what I was expecting, so I ended up painting my wooden shapes instead-more of my skill level!
I want to make some salt dough this week and want to spell out 'Merry Christmas' with it and hang it from a garland over the mantlepiece but I can't find any cheap alphabet cutters-has anyone seen them pretty cheaply anywhere? Thanks.0 -

I have about 7(!) in total, so around 40 cups, saucers and side plates, that I bought for my wedding in June but would like to re-gift or 'upcycle' them this xmas. I've also got some old (but clean) towels that I wondered whether anyone had any ideas for.
Have you thought about teacup candles?
They are on my to-do list (ever growing) but I think they look lovely.

You don't need alphabet cutters... you can mould them by hand... Kirsty Allsop got some school kids to spell out 'Merry Christmas' in salt dough for her craft show last year, the finished product was great and looked unique because each letter had been individually moulded!
