    Hello,

I've just received my eBay order of blank wooden cutouts (stockings, hearts, snowflakes etc), which I can't wait to start painting and decorating. I just need to buy my thread for my hearts now and hope my v.v.v.basic sewing skills are up to stratch.

Has anyone made a wooden advent calendar or have any links to one? We had a lovely one a few years ago but it got lost when we moved to Oz and now can't find one I like, so I'm thinking of making one. Thanks.
  • Hi all :) I've just received all my cellophane cones for my snowman soup! :D cant wait to make them but read the other day I cant do them until a couple of days before christmas - is that right? :D

craftfairy- ...........what brilliant stuff:T How do you get the socks to look sort of 'frothy' like that ? and how did you do the bookmark ? I looked on your blog but couldn't find them.

chasingsunshine - don't know much about the snowman soup.........I've never done that but I'd expect it would be better to wait until christmas is a bit closer. I know with sweets I got last year I waited till a few weeks before.
I would be unstoppable if only I could get started !

I have need a bit of advice, if you don't mind. I think i would like to make a few gift boxes for some christmas presents (mini xmas cakes etc) and i would also like to make some of these that craftfairies made in post 2246 but which machine is best
  • The froth on the sock is just another coloured pair a bit lighter, i used socks from Peacocks that came with the tan colour in them

The book mark is made from a length of ribbon sandwiched between 2 die cuts at each end, i am planning on doing some more so i will do a few tutorials
