    Hi,
I've just found this idea, 'Candy Sleigh', a nice cheap idea for giving some sweets as presents.

omg I LOVE this! I have some small cousins that I was struggling to think of a present for as they are boys and I dont know them too well, and only want a token gift rather than an expensive one.... this is the perfect answer!!!

Im off to start collecting my porridge boxes ready to make them hehe

Although... what paint would you think isbest to paint a cereal box? I did see some acrylic paint in Quality Save a while ago, they probably still have it, I might try that and see if it sticks ok. Dont want it flaking off!

I doubt very much that acrylic would flake of it is very hardwearing. Especially if you put it on something that you didnt want to :rotfl:
I have got a blog now if anybody wants to have a peek.

I really want an excuse to make that sleigh and reindeer. I haven't found one yet, other than "I want one!". Is that excuse enough?

    Of course it is:D

Giggle Thanks for letting us know about the Ferrero Rocher's I got 5 today:D
:jmember of the thrifty gifty 2011 :j
  • Had quite a productive day today :D

Got my red paint, paintbrushes and a pot to put the paint in from Quality Save ready for making Sleighs :D. Also saw some candy canes in Morrisons but I reckon I will be able to find some cheaper mores so am holding out, plus they were red white and green stripped but I want red and white preferably.

I also got a strawberry upside down planter for £2.49 for my Dads hardening hamper (first purchase!) from Quality Save as well as some plastic plant strap things (£1 down to 25p) x 2 for the hamper from Tescos.

And finally got my brother a desktop girlfriend for 99p (down from £3) from Clintons to go in his Naked Lady hamper!

Tescos also had lots of stationary reduced so got a ringbinger and matching notepad in a 'surfer' pattern (very O'Neill!) for my brother as a little wrap up. Hes quite awkward to buy for but with him having his own business and liking the O'Neil, Abercrombe etc style I think he will like this.

Im so very tempted by pots of gold hehe
