I have rescued pieces from an incomplete chess set so I have varnished wooden pieces in light and dark woods, can anyone think of anything I can do with them? Like paint them or include as a little gift with a poem? I don't want to throw them away but they are fairly useless at the momentGod is good, all the time

They have them online aswellchasingsunshine wrote: »I've just managed to find an ebay seller who has agrred to make me some blank wooden key shapes for my santa keys! I'm so pleased! Going to decorate them with glitter and paint etc
Thought I'd be lovely if I can get one each year then when LO is big enough to decorate it himself I can keep them to hang on the tree the following years.:rudolf::xmastree:
Can I ask which seller that sounds a lovely idea.:jmember of the thrifty gifty 2011 :j0 -

Of course, here is a link to her shop http://shop.ebay.co.uk/pots1963/m.html?_nkw=&_armrs=1&_from=&_ipg=&_trksid=p3686
I bought my door hangers here too and they arrived quick and are really good quality.
She hasnt got the keys listed yet as I literally only asked about them today but they'll be on there soon.
I'm really pleased, used card to make them before but wood should last well
There are some other nice christmas shapes on there, I might get some and put them with glitter glue or paints and ribbon and put them in my sisters Christmas eve hampers as I havent got them anything crafty to go in there yet - they could make some tree decorations
Thats another thing almost off the to do list!
My spreadsheet is almost all green! :j0 -

I made some lovely apple chutney last week and I've made Dumpsy Dearie jam today! No idea why it's called that. It's made with apples, pears and plums. All the fruit was from my garden, except the pears which were on offer in the supermarket last night and I used some really nice kilner jars to put it in that I had lying around from last christmas. It looks lovely.:D Just need to make some labels now! Think I'm going to cut some apple shapes out of green card and write the names on then use rafia to tie them on with. These can then go in the homemade food hampers for my parents. I'm also going to include some nice cheese and a bread mix to go with the chutney and some sort of tea loaf for the jam. Any suggestions? :think:0

Just when I think I've nearly caught up I find other ''stuff to do''...........bought a felt wall hanging from charity shop with alphabet on and little pockets with animals in for each letter -some are missing so I've got about 6 to do !!
Then I've got a christmas wall hanger to make ..........keep thinking it'll never end:rotfl:I would be unstoppable if only I could get started !

If anyone is making homemade pamper hampers, I came across this pattern today to knit your own wash mittens.

Should be fairly easy if you already knit.I :heartpuls M.S.E.Mortgage Free 18/01/10 13 years and 8 months early on a 20 year mortgage!
