Hi everyone,
so far this year, well in the last month really, i have really started thinking about and making things for xmas. i have made some penguins and robins from http://mollychicken.blogs.com/my_weblog/2005/12/the_biennial_fe.html and i also want to make the hedgehog for a friend little girl, maybe with some vouchers in the pocket. i put squeakers and bells inside to make them a bit different!
and started cutting the material for this fabric dolls house http://uklassinus.blogspot.com/2008/08/fabric-dollhouse-tutorial.html
i have never sewn anything before, so i am keeping my fingers crossed!!!
i love the idea of this fabric birds house http://www.flickr.com/photos/21938817@N00/4638578959/in/pool-lil_d/ and also thought about doing the same idea but making a kennel and little dog to live inside!!
i will post some of the other ideas i have seen in case it helps someone!!!
my daughter will love these little fairies, and they might go well with the fabric dollshouse i mentioned above http://bilbified.blogspot.com/2009/08/little-rainbow-fairies-tutorial.html
i have made one of these babies too, but with a sleeping bag http://www.colouredbuttons.com/2010/02/inout-or-how-monstery-triplets-can.html
i am making this idea of a monster hoodie http://www.craftstylish.com/item/59231/create-your-own-monster-hoodie and also adapting it for other ideas, like bears, or kittens for other children.
on this page there is the idea of a handmade tic tac toe and a fishing game which i intend to make! http://kelsimad.wordpress.com/2009/01/05/homemade-christmas-pt-2/
i am also thinking of using this magnetic alaphabet, but just to make the names of my daughters friends, as a token present http://chezbeeperbebe.blogspot.com/2009/10/tutorial-how-to-make-plush-alphabet.html
my nephew will only be 3 months at xmas but i defintely want to make this for him next year or the one after! http://www.makeit-loveit.com/2010/02/childs-tool-belt.html
and i love this idea http://pinkandgreenmama.blogspot.com/2008/09/ocean-wonders-wednesday.html its also started me off thinking about variations, the blogger suggests some ideas too, like construction in a box, farm in a box, etc
hope these inspire some people as they inspired me!!

Hi, I have just found this idea on ebay and thought it could be a cute gift to make for christmas
http://cgi.ebay.com/1-55-oz-Wrapped-Hersheys-Bar-Snowman-Gingerbread-Santa-/380190229025?cmd=ViewItem&pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&var=&hash=item97571107d7A creative mess is better than tidy idleness0 -
Claire - thanks for all those links. On the first blog there's a remote control holder...........perfect sort of thing for MIL I think..........we were there at the weekend and she kept losing them and sitting on them..............I've got a chenille scarf in a drawer with flowers stitched on it.............I've never worn it, not my sort of thing, and it would be just the right size for a remote holder.
Candy -love that idea. Might do a variation on that........routed round the charity shops at MIL's over the weekend and found a little pair of baby mittens or boots (not sure really as there's no shape to them) red and blue striped......perfect for a snowmans hat -I could get a chunky choccy bar, make a wrapper out of white felt for the snowman part and top it off with one little mitten/boot tied with ribbon:jI would be unstoppable if only I could get started !

Just made this set of coasters for someone for christmas.
Earnings £245 in 2014:T thanks to swagbucks0 -
artydoll - love the coasters :T
qwiksave -just had a look at your blog............that leaf looks beautiful.:T..........wish I had the courage to have a go........mind you I don't have any embossing stuff so what am I saying..............lol:rotfl:
I'm limited to my pots of glue and paper and put them to use today...........I'd got a notepad in the shape of a blue dress from charity shop at the weekend. So, found some paper lurking in my drawer with 'girly' written all over it in pink and blue.........covered a stiff piece of card with it, put a ribbon across and using brads made a loop to pop couple of pens in, threaded ribbon through the top so it'll hang on the wall - last bit was sticking the notepad on............looks a treat......even OH said so............so thats something else for grandaughter I think.I would be unstoppable if only I could get started !
