stepmum - isn't knitting the best? I only took it up myself a month ago and I enjoy it so much. I do get strange looks when I do my knitting on the tube and I even got my picture taken once, but I don't care now :) Can we see the octopus?

Laura - your ring is stunning. Congratulations!

I made a 'lucky pot' for a friend last year, if it helps anyone. He's one of my closest friends, but I was a bit strapped for cash, so I put a mini JD in a jar, with a lucky penny taped to the bottom and a scratchcard. He loved it :)

Hi All, On my blog today I have details of an Easter bonnet my son and I (um, mainly me! :o) made last year:

(It didn't win because they wanted one made more by the kids than the adults! :D)

susan42 Great notebooks - love the pixie images

nunnygirl glad to be a help :)

Laura - your ring is gorgeous (you now have another follower :))

Qwiksave - love the hat (hide it from whoopie though :D).

I've got myself a great big diary and I'm gonna start to note down all the things that i'm gonna make for pressies - although i don't know what will take longer - the list or the making. On another note, my big sis is really into family tree stuff and she's been researching ours for years and has loads of photos and stories so I thought about doing a scrapbook for her - only problem is she's too smart for her own good. I asked her for an updated copy on disc and she guessed what I want it for - she even told me she bought a scrapbook ages ago intending on making one herself but never had the time so I could have that to make it. I told her it was supposed to be a surprise, I'll make it for her anyway and I've told her to look surprised when I give her it back :p

Susan - thanks for the link you posted with the ideas for Jars in.

Yesterday while I had a browse around Hobbycraft for ideas to keep the kids amused during Easter hols, I bought some cork coasters and some tiles for them to make mosaics (I could use the coasters as gifts afterwards but if they're nice I might keep them ;)). On that website I also found these - I'm bound to have some tiles left, and we have some pots, so I can get them to do these as well.

Really must make a better list (mine's a bit of a jumble) and tick things off as I do them..........making sure when I start something I finish it before starting something else...............I get in such a muddle

elysia - I like the tiles. What a fab idea, I was thinking of scouring around for cheap photo frames and mirrors I could decorate - mosaics would be perfect.

It's my sister's birthday soon, so she might be the first person to get something crafty :)

Oh Mary I don't know if I'll want to - I've never done a scrapbook before so it could turn out to be a complete disaster. Gonna need to check out some scrapbooking sites first I think. I know you've done scrapbooking before - any recommendations?
