I was fortunate as one of our local shops, The Shuttle in Shipley had a 50% off sale in the January sales so I bough tons of fleece in all colours. As I finish a blanket it is put away but the rest of the fabric is bursting out of the back of my sofa!!

    What lovely designs.............:T

Think the most I'll get round to is a bit of embroidery on some plain gloves..............appliques felt flowers on a pair last year and sons girlfriend was thrilled to bits.

Started on my first proper scrapbook today............took me ages to do 3 pages  I'm doing it like a family history book so had to drag all my family history stuff out and sort out which photos to use..........then I found some oval frames I'd got from google images few years back .............looks ok I think and even OH gave it the nod of approval:)
I would be unstoppable if only I could get started !

The designs are just ideas not my work. All my blankets are compared to the gloves is bigger with more flowers on them. Give it a go it really is relaxing. I prepared the flowers by cutting and stitching the centres on and now I just sit when there is time and just do as much as I can sometimes 2 petals sometimes 3 flowers. I think I have done about 16 flowers for the blanket I am making currently

sethsgran - whats LDS ? (sorry to appear bit of a numpty) If its anything to do with piccys on here -sorry, don't have all the digital stuff to do it..........:( One day, when pennies are more abundant I'll treat myself to a digi camera..........(watches pigs fly in the sky while waiting....................lol:rotfl:)

Oh.........not sure if I mentioned it before.........I've found a fleece scarf in the drawers upstairs -heaven knows how or why it got there - but any ideas on what I can do to liven it up in a 'male' way ? It's black hence the 'male' idea

Nothing to do with the site LOL. As you were talking about family history I wondered if you were a member of the faith that I attend as we always refer to it as Family History and not genealogy. Sorry hope I didn't offend I was just curios

If you have someone younger you could always put silver any maybe pink/purple onto the fleece. I know I normally head for the 'black clothing' section of most shops but maybe you could give it a feminine twist in some way.

Haven't really done any crafting this end - tiredness and a dodgy tummy have put a stop to that and haven't even started getting things ready for little miss yet and she's due in 14 weeks! although have been looking at these mats for babies that you lay on the floor and they seem quite expensive so im wondering if I got some felt and wadding how easy it would be to make her one instead although I haven't got a machine so I think blanket stitch or making like a no sew fleeced edge (with the fraying) would be better as she's not likely to be wriggling much at first anyway. Hoping to get round to making a few no sew fleeces for her bed too - Ive got some plain material that I might make a nappy stacker with (pale yellow/green) and put some appliqued flowers onto it or make a basic over the cot nappy changer unit - like a wall hanging but tied to side of cot with pockets for nappy's/wipes/spare baby grow/bottle etc.

hhhhhmmmmmmmmm...........................think i might sit and have a look later on at the material I have.

Apart from that Xmas has kind of gone out the window at the minute although I am planning on raiding under my bed where all my Xmas stuff is/was kept and seeing what i have left over under there and through the airing cupboard too to see what can be recycled although get a feeling a lot of what's in there is junk.
