susan -just had a look on your blog.............love the top gear stuff........what a good idea too, the cheap toilet stuff and re-label it.
Did similar with some cheap tesco bubble bath last year (or was it year before ?) .........cleaned out OH's empty wine bottles (they had screw in lids) and decanted the bubble bath in them, stuck on labels with old bathroom vintage types on..........they looked a treat I thought.

susan - love the zebra and don't the toothbrushes look smart:T

Did two more button necklaces today - one black and white (grandaughter has the odd 'goth' moment) and the other one a mixture of brown beads and buttons -think thats enough now...........next will be bracelets.
I've kept some nice turqoise and white ones for one of them ............not sure about the rest. Want to have a go at one of those safety pin ones but thought I'd got more surplus beads than I have. Need to have a really strict budget christmas as OH not able to work so if I can recycle something it keeps the costs right down.

  • Thank you Pepop and Mary. I love to try most the bits that are suggested on here but still havent really found my niche. I think so far my towel cakes are the most frequently made and I enjoy doing them but making these flowers were quite theraputic lol. Just making some pink, red and white ones now and will look up in the loft tomorrow to see if I have any more baskets.
    Happy making.
