  • After seeing qwiksave's brilliant candle stick platestand :T:T:T (I couldn't resist sharing this from My Repurposed Life's blog.

It's a tutorial to make candlesticks from bedposts!

They look gorgeous and expensive but cost very little if you've got any bedposts lying around (who hasn't?!)

qwiksave -what a nightmare the shopping was.............lol - well must admit I did get a bit bored looking at some new sort of compost stuff OH spotted in Focus............so I trailed him up to the little cards shop.......very expensive  so came out with one sheet of paper for my scrapbook and some black and white letters to put 'recipes' on foster daughters index card box. Poundstretcher had a little apron that will go ok with the chefs hat I got as a freebie for little grandsons birthday (£1.99) -I'd have had to buy more tea towels to get one that would look right so I think it was worth it. Then wonder of wonders..........OH took me to Dunelm mills...........got some cushions for the kitchen chairs and then joined the long long queue -why don't they have more check outs open ?
Parking at hospital was a nightmare and we ended up stuck on a grass verge and paying for the privilege -OH was not happy. Still, scans done and we'll get the result on Wednesday when we see the 'boffin' chap.

beach hut -love the candlesticks:T I'm all for recycling where possible
I would be unstoppable if only I could get started !

  • Don't know if this freebie pattern appeals to anyone, but I thought it could be adapted to make heat bags, door stops and bookends. I've added it to my ever growing list of possible makes!
