  • Me again. On the ball today with crafting ideas

Has anyone seen anything like this about?

I was thinking instead of buying my little nieces an Easter egg each I would get a few eggs and fill with an assortment of little sweeties - like the coop do 3 for £1 on gummy sweets etc and see if i can find/make a little Easter basket for them each with a little chick or too as well.

My mum and sister are getting girly tool boxes (pound land) with the compartments filled with sweeties - already have the boxes - just need sweets.

Was also thinking I might make an egg basket for my boyfriend - see if I can get a pack of these -
    a basket like this

and fill it with either freebies/sweets/chocolates/VW/motorbike items.

Poundland had packs of 12 empty eggs which were patterned or 6 large unpatterned eggs. They also had painted wooden eggs for anyone thinking of doing an Easter Tree.

I'm definately on a role with the crafting at the moment, trouble is I keep reading these threads and looking at everyones blogs and adding to my list of things to do!

I've posted my latest makes on my blog if anyone fancies a look.Off to do some ironing now:(

    Thanks hun

Am going to town tomorrow so will have a look for them - might get the smaller eggs for little one to have a basket and a couple of bigger ones for boyfriend - or put a mixture of the two - not sure yet.

Been trying to find some other bits for my boyfriend because i was thinking a few nik naks would be nice for him too but realistically he'd probably prefer all chocolate/eggs anyway.
    Time to find me again

I've been making a digi-stamp for OH's birthday card but I have been making a denim rag bag for myself out of an old pair of jeans. I've decided that as it turned out alright I'm gonna make them for my neices' presents this year. I've got pics on my blog.

I have looked up my town for ladies gloves that come down past the wrist and not the short "magic" style ones but cant find any. Think I will leave them till the end of the year when they come back in the shops again unless I find some. Have thought about knitting some but would have to have quite thin wool to make them out of as I dont want them to look clumpy.

Poundland! Saw them on friday.. think it was 6 in a pack for a £1.

EDIT TO ADD: oops someone beat me to it!
  • PHEW!!! It's taken me about 2 weeks but I have finally read this thread from start to finish! And I have all my pages ect bookmarked and ready to go! Planning to do a lot more home made stuff this year.. I'm not a sewer or knitter so will be other stuff plus hampers etc. So hello Ladies, I hope you dont mind me popping by and joining in!

Also plan to get a wee stall later in the year of homemade stuff at local fetes and try to sell some stuff...

Thanks to the posters (who I pressed the thank button for) who did the 'make your own bow' and 'can ashtrays'.. so far Ive made about 10 wrapping bows now from magazines and have lots of pre-cut strips to make more. Ive made 6 ashtrays too.. old beer can's of the OH's!!

    Also:
    - Ive made some jewellery for myself out of old jewellery I had and have my jewellery and bead collections getting stocked up to make lots of jewellery.. poppy has been great source of inspiration over on the jewellery making thread.. can't wait to get it all and get started! Ive done a wee bit before but want to get into it more.
    - Ive made 4 cards now (2 birthday, 2 baby) i think they were okay but not brill - next task is to take on the card making thread but I dont see myself making 100's of card for christmas etc!
    - Ive been buying storage boxes in poundland and sorting all nmy bots and bobs into an order so quite pleased with myself
    - started making journal jars for my Mum & my MILs Mothers days presents. The jars are done (poundland again for the jars!!), I have bought the journals (tescos), just need to decorate them and then print off and cut up all the questions and then curl them and stick them in the jars.

Glad I'm now up to date on the thread phew!
