Virgin poster on forum,so if this is in the wrong place I'm sorry. Have been reading through forums for a while, learned about the R&R at Tesco, so thought I'd try it. Great success on my first try! £15 worth of best steak today! SEL £7.68 Kg, label £9.99. R&R. SEL removed by staff, but they were very pleasant. Thank you to all posters for giving me the nerve to go for it! XXX PS Will try again soon, success has given me confidence

Bought a 'Florence and Fred mulitway bra' with a reduced sticker on the front last night. £6 down to £3. Went through the self scan at £6. Paid before I 'noticed' and got a £6 refund and kept the bra. There were loads on offer, also bought another at £5 down to £2.50 but this scanned at the correct price.

I'm sure I read somewhere on here that Tesco used to advertise their R&R policy on their TV ads?

Definately used to, I seem to recall it had Jane Horrocks and some annoying old bag in them. Oddly enough its taken me years to realise the signifigance of those ads, if only I'd payed attention all those years ago, I could have sucked more of tescos lifeblood out of them.

  • Does anybody know if there are any self-scan tills at the checkouts at any of these stores? (So I could use my vouchers)?

Coventry (Walsgrave triangle nr J2 M6) - Checker in the toilet roll aisle, and also one near the changing rooms
Coventry Arena Extra- soft drinks aisle (broken for past 4 weeks), One in isle 30 by tissues and another in clothing dept. behind jewelry counter
Coventry Walsgrave (not Extra detailed by Walsgrave Matt)- Next to pharmacy

Any help would be appreciated. Thanks peeps. :T

ALSO - IN CASE ANY OF YOU GUYS HAVEN'T NOTICED THIS: (I'VE CUT AND PASTED IT FROM ANOTHER THREAD) BUT GET YER SKATES ON FOLKS....

Read this: (posted by Freebie-Junkie, so a big thanks to her for this)

'TESCOING' building your points with clever use of vouchers

hi, ive discovered a tesco loophole at teh minute thats similar to boosting, you boost your tesco points whist getting lots of beauty stuff/toiletries for next to nowt by using teh vouchers from the new health and beauty bargains booklet (theyre red, just a bit smaller than A4 in size and avaliable at cs, pharmacy counters and tills as far as i can see.)

inside these booklets there are vouchers for:

50 points when you spend £2 or more on toiletery products
£2.50 off when you spend £10 on toiletries
£1 off when you spend £4 on toiletries

teh beauty of these is that they work on teh subtotal not teh eventual total, so if you use bogofs and 2-for-£2 etc. you get to use more and tehy all work together

an example transaction i did yesterday:

    4 x sensitive face wipes (£1.49 each, 2 for £2)
    2 x dove deodrant (£1.82 each, 2 for £2.90)
    2 x sunsilk shampoo (£1.84 each, bogof)
    2 x radox bubble bath (£1.48 each, 2 for £2)
2 x lynx shower gel (£1.88 each, bogof)

the sub-total is £20 (even though its actually only £12.62 after all teh delas)

    so i used:
10 x 50 points when you spend £2 or more on toiletery products
2 x £2.50 off when you spend £10 on toiletries
5 x £1 off when you spend £4 on toiletries

so i only spent £2.62 and got 500 points back

    Update:
Finally got a reply of sorts from Tesco today...Thank you for your letter addressed to Sir Terry.....on receipt of your letter I asked for an investigation to be carried out. Once we have completed our investigations, Sir Terry will write to you with our findings. Thank you for your patience. Nick Johnson CS Executive.

I did ask for a non standard reply...do you think I will really get a reply from Sir T....or am I in trouble...I've only had 4 R&R...is big brother watching me?...

I got four more packs of ecover last night, also saw someone else getting R&R on what I think was Fruit Pastiles Ice Lolly's, but I was at the back of queue and that's all I could get.
Like my avatar, took the photo myself with the free digital camera I bought from boots with all my free points! I love moneysaving.
  • All local stores seem to have run out of these booklets with the vouchers in and won't be getting any more in. Hmmmm.......
