Tesco misprices discussion area part 6

I am SOOOOO jealous of you Mcdonag.
I have one local Tesco, and another larger one near where I work - but they are normally really hot on the prices. I also VERY occasionally use a small Tesco 24 hour one ( but they don't carry much stock, so VERY little chance of an R&R), and if I was REALLY desperate there is a MEGA store - but it is a bit of a hike to get to.
Hence I don't like to push my luck too far with R&Rs as I don't have many Tesco alternatives if I ever get banned !
Also, although I love a bargin, and R&Ring, it is time consuming. Hunting down R&R's, finding a scanner to check your hunch, making sure you 'pad out' you basket so you don't look too obvious, and that is before returning to the cs desk, who can keep you waiting AGES if they want to be a pain, and if they haven't closed for the night ! It's virtually a full time job saving money:cool:0 -
McDonag, I get the feeling that someone has upset you - am I right?
Don't get wound up, I'm sure it's all in jest.0 -

Redfox - as always, defer to your guidance and fully agree that this should be a helpful and supportive community.
Feel the need to offer a constructive response - given the post this morning....
Mcdonag - seems I offended you - not seen anyone have a cyber-fit for ages, so thanks for that.
Whilst your on-line persona is that of a bleary red-eye (too much cough syrup?) mine is The Dude.
Regular readers of this thread know that I often inject a little bit of humour into my posts - I try not to offend anyone.
In fact when 'robert' was posting offensive remarks to the Tesco MSErs - and whilst I've got no love for Tesco PLC the actual employees who post here have always been great - I was up there putting that twonk back in his place.
So if I had posted to you 'I say old boy but your posts are full of inconsistent detail please consider the content of your posts and only publish factual information' would you still have thrown a fit and tirade about my Johnson? (steady ladies)
Ultimately I feel that a lot of detail on your posts appears (key word) to be questionable - you re-post other mis-prices and claim fantastic trolley loads of R&R with little substantive comment.
As has been posted - if you are genuine - fair enough - I watch with interest your future posts.
If you are a twonk - then fair enough too - just don't waste our time.

hmmm just looked up definition of twonk, not the best. Maybe its time to move on.

Another good response Duder. This was my 1st cyberfit and hopefully my last.
I think that my 'fantastic trolley load', consisting of BT Trio telephones x2, a camera and a bike along with SEL's and actual price paid would have been enough info looking at previous posts.
I am usually a man of few words unless I am cyberfitting, of course. If my posts don't give enough information, then please ask me for more. I would be only too glad to offer it and apologise for not giving enough info.
With regards to the bike. I did feel a tad uncomfortable walking along the shop floor with a girls bike sticking out of and balancing on top of the trolley and hastily placed all the R&R's in my car before going to CS to complain. Only for them to remind me that I would have to go back into my car and bring them back in so that a refund could be processed.
If that makes me a 'Twonk', then guilty, I'm afraid.
I would probably think that it was a one off getting away with over £200 quids worth of goods in one go but I keep trying.
I can asure you all that I am genuine though.
No hard feelings.
Lets start again shall we?
Kind Regards
If it is any consellation, I spent 2 hours in Tesco's just now and came out with nowt. !!!!!!!!!
PS. It did feel good giving you the 'dude' definition though. I'm still giggling.;)

I thought I was onto a winner today, but in the end I got nothing.
In the Exeter Digby store, they had the yellow labels for 3 for £4 with a list of Real Ales, beginning with Fuller's London Pride. In this list was 'Adnams'. However, underneath the main list, each label had the phrase 'Excluding Adnams Broadside' written in black marker pen.
When I got home, I went to my local Tesco and the same yellow labels were there, but without the extra bit with the marker pen. One of the labels was directly below the bottles of Adnams Broadside and they had no other variety of Adnams Ales in the store. Therefore I confidently bought 15 bottles and went happily to Customer Services when the reduction didn't come off.
However, having gone to consult with the young guy who seemed to be in charge of the section, the CS lady came back and said that the 3 for £4 referred to a different product. When we went to look at the shelves, she had to lift the yellow label to show the white label that referred to the Adnams Broadside Ale. Obviously, I pointed out that since the yellow label was directly below the bottles I bought and since they didn't have any other variety of Adnams Ales, it was only reasonable for me to assume that this is was indeed the Ale on the 3 for £4 offer. She pretty much agreed, but said there was nothing she could do about it and offered to get the Duty Manager. He then came along and repeated what I had already been told. He agreed that it was confusing, but said that all he could do was feed my concerns about this up to Head Office. I could see from his whole demeanor that I wasn't going to get any further and I didn't want to get into a big row, so I took a refund and gave it up as a bad job.
However, I know I was in the right and maybe others will succeed where I failed.
