Does it matter if there is a back story? Buying 6 large hatboxes as some people have reported seeing is just plain greedy (I wouldn't use half the products in there anyway as I already own several of them and they last ages so they would sit in the drawer unused before the sell by date - what is the point?) A bargain is only a bargain if you are actually going to use something.

    Chris

YES it does matter. Getting all upperty about how much one person has bought is just plain petty. You should just concentrate on yourself and how much you need. If you leave something because you are worried about being 'greedy' then that is entirely up to you. You have no idea what goes on in other peoples lives. You have no idea why someone might want 6 hatboxes. He could just be a compulsive bather, OR he may be auctioning them at the Great Ormond Street raffle to raise money!
Don't sneer at other people's choices when you know nothing about them!
  • Am in the process of sorting out all the smelly stuff I bought at Lush yesterday - I also put in an online order for a load of their retro products (which can only bought online/via mail order).

Now I need somewhere to store them. Has anyone got any empty Lush hatboxes they don't want? I am really after the Christmas Eve, the Fairytale, and/or the Winter Wonderland.

Please PM me and tell me how much you want for the box - I'd pay via Paypal.

I think if someone wanted to auction them for charity they would ask LUSh directly for a product donation. You have to be honest, it's highly unlikely that's why someone would buy 6 hatboes!!!

was at the Next sale yesterday morning at 6.30 too and there was a couple who spent about £800 and had bags and bags of stuff....EVERYONE in the store was huffing and puffing and saying how greedy they were but i just thought no-one knows their story...they could've saved up all year just to go to the sale and people were jealous as they wished it was THEM!

I would've been a bit mad if the people infront of me had taken all the big boxes but i would've settled for something smaller, for example buying an all year round box for £20+ and then getting a smaller xmas box for free

Sorry bit off topic but just wanted to say that my friend did this last year.

She saved all her money through the year plus from her birthday etc in order to buy her children's clothes. I thought it was a great idea and she saved loads by getting the next few sizes up :D

I came away with 2 big hatboxes and 2 large gifts yesterda :-D and will be placing an order online in a bit then getting another lot of freebies (by the way if you order online the freebies usually add up to more than it states). Will go and have a look on monday or tuesday in town too to see if there are any other boxes put out!

Personally,I don't see why people are trying to moralise over sales and get het up about people apparently being 'greedy'.It's an offer and there are no rules. If you can get something free that you want you get it so what is the problem with it?The only problem I have is with the amount of people who buy things on sale or spend to get freebies anywhere purely because it's become a bargain -not because they actually want it or were planning on buying it in the first place.
What annoys me ven more is those who see a bargain price or a glitch or freebie and suddenly decide they have to get it for someone for christmas just because it's cheap (and the go on and on getting addicted to thoughtless bargains) but put no thought into any of it

It's pure jealousy!Good for the couple that spent £800!I don't understand the whole 'they're so greedy' thin at all

Part of the Furniture 1,000 Posts Combo Breaker I've been Money Tipped!
I went to the Birmingham store today. Couldnt get to local store yesterday as no public transport and was cooking lunch.

Wanted a Karma spray with some Christmas money and had a look at the gift boxes left - lots of smaller ones I got the pink one with silver ribbon with snow fairy type things in worth £24.95 which Im very happy with. I go for showers not baths so never use bath bombs etc...

Only reason Id love a hat box for is Id use all the items like bath bombs to make tombola prizes for the tombola we do for the dog rescue but am happy with my free gift:j

So Brum has lots of gift boxes up to £24.95 value wise if anyones there.

Meeting a friend for lunch in Worcester tomorrow so will have a look see whats there too and report back tomorrow night!

Even though I said earlier I wasn't going to buy any LUSH, I still walked into their Manchester Market Street Branch today...but I was good and didn't buy anything as I kept telling myself that it wouldn't go[smell wise] with my soap&glory bits...
