I can see it's a nuisance but a lot of people manage it. Could you not ask another parent to collect them for you and offer to take theirs on a different day?

That may verywell be an option, one i hadn't thought of. But then i don't like to have to rely on others as sooner or later they won't be able to do the favour for whatever reason, and your back to square one again.

Why not just amend your jobseekers agreement to show that you are not available at the times when you are taking or picking up the children from school?

Can you actually do that without it affecting your claim..? If you can then that is a great idea..!:D.

Why can they not go to the afterschool club on the relevant day ... or come out of school on time?

You seem to be creating a problem where there is not one.

Typical answer from you. Do me a favour if you see a thread by myself DO NOT REPLY IN IT...!!!!!!!!!!

To goto afterschool club you have to book them in by the session. The session would be from 3pm - 5.30pm @ a cost of about £7 per child (and that is a very conservative figure). times that by 3 children and you are looking at around £21.

So just for the sake of me signing on i should stump up roughly £21. Yeah ok:rolleyes::rolleyes::rolleyes::rolleyes::rolleyes:And you didn't read my post properly. I said at a stretch i could get them to the next one at 3.40 if they get out of school ontime. But you obviousily do not have children as you would know that they do not clock on and off like you do at work, they have assemblies etc which very often run over thus resulting in them coming out late. I also said that each sign on time was not set after that, so one week i might have to sign on at 2.45 and the nexty i might have to at 3.15. Can you see the difficulty here.

But you say you will do that if you get a job. If you are not willing to be flexible in signing on, I would question whether you really are looking for work?

    MY GOD......

If i get a job i will be earning money on a regular basis, they will go in before and after school. I can then also claim Tax Credits to help with the cost. When you don't work you lose that. I am currently on the dole not receiving any payments... so why would i be expected to stump up £21 to sign on. Jesus man go away.

You are incredibly rude. Perhaps this is why you do not have a job?

As you are receiving loan and cc payments, you are receiving financial benefit by virtue of your signing on (albeit not from the JCP). Therefore I do not see the problem in making alternative arrangements for your children for one day.

i thanked this post as the same thought occurred to me. however after discovering that it would cost them £21 i wish i could remove my thanks. nothing against you its just the cost issue changes things.

it is a bit unfair to expect them to pay £21. that is alot of money to an unemployed person.
