According to the job centre, anything over 16 hours per week is full time

You can also say that you are available all day Saturday and Sunday - and evenings whch will bump the hours up.

I know as far as doing a course anything over 16 hours is classed as fulltime. I don't know if this extends to working hours though.

The OP is not saying they can only work 4 hours per day. They can work evenings, nights and weekends. Not everyone fits into a 9-5pm pattern. They are completely entitled to update their agreement depending on childcare commitments.

It's not. I'm not being rude but it's very complex and as those rules are not relevant to your situation I won't go into detail.

Precisely. If they said 9.30 till 2.30 or whatever you suggested I would be asking why not 6pm till 8am (or whatever the partner doesn't work)

Well they can say to update with the following:

    Monday 10-2 and 8-12
    Tuesday 10-2 and 8-12
    Wednesday 10-2 and 8 -12
    Thursday 10-2 and 8-12
    Friday 10-2 and 8-12

    Saturday 9-9
    Sunday 9-9

Or any hours within those times.

In theory yes, but they would also have to demonstrate that such vacancies exist.

    Of course they do.

It doesn't have to be only one job. Many of us work 2 or 3 jobs at the same time. It hardly needs demonstrating. Do the job centre really need people to draw diagrams for them these days?
