This is the next big town to me. Falkirk is my 'goan up the toon' town
My accent will be very similar to her drunken one hee, hee!
Does she say 'Whit ye sayin?' instead of hello, how are you? and people reply 'ye seen it aw' instead of I am fine thanks??
And I thought our greetings were strange

In Aberdeen, some of the teuchters say "Foo's your doo's" to mean How are you. Seems stupid, even to me!
I am sooooo ill today! My body feels like 10 Keiras have been jumping on me whilst I slept, she has a bad cough and snotty beak, so no nursery today because I seriously CBA moving.
Got my chicken in the slow cooker and I'll peel some tatties later and maybe put the mammoth pile of clothes away and that's all I'm doing!!0 -
i used to lie kian on his stomach on my knee and rub his back in a circular motion to help the wind and it really worked. as did walking around rubbing his back'Children are not things to be moulded, but are people to be unfolded'0

Hello everyone :hello:
Ive loved all the regional chat on the last few pages, my grandad was from Ballymena and I keep hearing MM's posts in his voice if that makes sense
(Im not even sure whereabouts your from MM so could be totally wrong :rotfl:)
Feelie - your posts about feeding have helped me immensely (sp?) even if they havent been directly to me Ive remembered tips when Ive been struggling. Im not sure about mei tai's facing outwards, I only got mine yesterday and because Isla's still in cuddle hold all the time in her stretchy wrap.
naturalmamas.co.uk has tips for all slings, and links to how to tie etc.
SS - what does your friends baby weigh? I had Isla in hers at 2 days old, she weighed 7lb 6oz at birth. She's loved it from then and goes asleep in minutes when I put her in it.
Tigs - Andrew looks fantastic :j A proper little man.
We went to Boots at 8.30 seems as I couldnt get an order through online, bought loads of photo baubles, albums and picture frames to make cheap pressies with pics of Isla in and an ELC cash register to put by for her birthday. It was only £5 from £20 so very happy and very mse!
How is everyone?Belly Monkey arrived 19.11.09 :j0 -

Morning!
MM you can get a printable itunes voucher online, if you have a half decent printer it comes out well, don't get an emailled one though unless you want a very long drawn out conversation with customer services
flower/flour are sooo the same I can't see how they couldn't be
the give away of my mum's secret scouse-ness is that she says luke, kook etc
Weezl Fergie obviously mistook the shiny bauble for your lovely 3rd trimester glow and star-like qualities
I think I have a healthy frugal (when HM) breakfast *rocks excitedly* can you confirm? cinamon raisin french toast ; slice of CR loaf dipped in egg n milk mixture fried in non sick pan with iddy biddy bit of oil then sprinkled with pinch of sugar (literaly a pinch prob 1/4 tsp per slice) 1 med/lrg egg does 2 slices from a 400g loaf
I'm scared of one day having to clean poop from a baby girl after hearing of a cirtain amount of 'digging' being involved  give me a winky to wipe around any day :rotfl:
SS - I have a woven/non-stretchy wrap sling I put Chris in it whe he was 2yo and it was nice n comfy and he liked it, I had Ed in it at a couple of months and he looked lovely snuggled between my boobies (ah heaven for a baby, no?)
Breakfast sounds nommy, Sami!
I'm scared of girls' nappies too, now I have a boy! Not even sure if I've ever changed a girls nappy at all!Whats CR bread?
I was gonna ask that too

I was wondering this exact thing today as I carried Henry. I am sure you can, once they are old enough to look over the top.
I need to catch up properly, but just thought I'd post while I had a sec.
Henry is in a lovely mood today. We've been into town, hit the Boots 75% off sale and got some lovely bits courtesy of my Boots points. Then we had a cheeky Starbucks which is actually reasonably :money: as I have 50p off vouchers for January plus my 30% staff discount!
Also my lovely best friend as just offered us a free mini break! Her OH is renting a cottage for his stag weekend but has to rent it for the week, so Henry, BF and I can go down and join my and her OH for the weekday part but it will be paid for by the stags:money: so we just have to pay petrol.:DYummy mummy, runner, baker and procrastinator

Tell your OH that this isn't about him, it's about Tobes xfeelinggood wrote: »OH doesn't like people here when he is home.
I phone homestart to cancel visitor for this week, and after talking with them decided that I don't want any more visits. Hopefully the lady won't take it personally, I asked them to explain it wasn't anything she did/didn't do.0 -
