I feel terrible for him as his looks at me like 'take away the pain mum' and I can't. Suffering from PND too, so this is tipping me over again when I thought I was getting a little better.....

Sorry if I missed it, but are you bottle or breastfeeding?
Sorry to hear you have PND too, I have normal depression and a new baby (but not PND :rotfl:) and you have my sympathies. If you ever want to talk, I'm around, although I'm not much used. Are you getting help for your PND?Stay-at-home, attached Mummy to a 23lb 10oz, 11 month old baby boy.0 -
Thanks all for you quick responses.
I thought about reflux but as he only screams at some feeds I kinda thought that wouldn't be it.
Teeth! Hadn't thought of that one, will have a look when he wakes up (passed out during last feed as screaming so much!).
Ear infection - had him at docs last week when this started (they said it was probably a cold but it has been 8 days now) and they checked his ears but said they looked okay.
Hmmm, HV due soon, hopefully she can shed some light.

just had a thought - could he have asore tummy with trapped wind? When he starts screaming try and put him on his back and cycle his legs gently and see if he gets some relief. Drinking more milk ontop of a sore tummy/wind can make it more painful for them.
Good luck with the HV

LCK - don't listen to feelie! She's lots of help to us all. She's helped me that's for sure. I also have PND, but wasn't diagnosed till LO was much older. This forum has really helped me. When I'm not sure what to do/feel/say then these guys and girls help me - now I just think to myself what would they tell me/what would I say if it were one of them asking and go from there! Nice to 'meet' you

Never tried this trick !! We were told to sit baby on the end of your knee and rock them round in a circle with their tummy bent slightly. The rocking motion apparently loosens the air bubbles. The two best things I have done with my life

Feelie - just to take my previous post a step further. You have been lots of help to me. Your brilliant bf story led me to persevere for longer than I thought I would be able to. You also encouraged me to chat about my PND (then undiagnosed) to someone - even if it was 'only' you lot on the forum. Thank you x

Hugs LK, I hope you get some help soon.
Feelie, I have to disagree, I think you are much used and appreciated. I, for one, have found your breastfeeding advice invaluable!

One of my best friends is from Falkirk, but has been down here for 20-odd years. She's so funny when she's had a drink or two, she goes all Scottish and uses lots of f' words, and nobody can understand her. :rotfl:
This is the next big town to me. Falkirk is my 'goan up the toon' town
My accent will be very similar to her drunken one hee, hee!
Does she say 'Whit ye sayin?' instead of hello, how are you? and people reply 'ye see it aw' instead of I am fine thanks??0 -

OOh that's a good one too - also sometimes picking baby up then sitting them back down has the same effect of moving their legs a bit. As does pulling them up slowly with their arms to sitting position from lying down. LO used to like to 'superman' on my arm while I rubbed her back.
