On "no" - Elijah (17 months) has been at the stage where he knows what we mean and what he should be stopping doing, for a while now... but is just provoked by it.
He is entering toddler tantrum territory I'm afraid  to the extent that if we say "No" firmly enough he will run at us shouting NONE-NONE-NONE and then headbutt the floor in fury! He also now hurls any object if he trips over it, or headbutts the door if it gets in his way  he has rage!

Yikes! How do you deal with that?

SB - that'll just make me laugh. Especailly as I know she'll start to quote back to me 'just one minute', 'I'll be back in a second' etc :D

It's hard to be annoyed so often when they are so cute!

sami - weds is 10am til 12pm. Is that doable for you?

here are the feb/march dates http://www.slingmeet.co.uk/forums/showthread.php?p=38020#post38020
and Fritha has suggested a day out in April as well.

I might be meeting Mummy friends on Weds but if you wanted to go I could put it off cos I'll see them tomorrow anyway.

Or, we could aim for Friday 12th Feb if you like - I'm easy (but don't tell everyone ;))

MFD, 3, mel (where is Mel?!) sparkle (and anyone else of course)- anyone up for any of the above dates? Would be lovely to see you all again :)

Aw I would so love to come!! Do you think I could come and then pop onto a site in Manchester for a meeting in the afternoon (leaving Benjamin in the car with the window open a crack like a poor puppy in the summer!!)

    Hi all..

Well, Consultant is happy-ish  We can take him off two meds, reduce another (I already had.. shhhh ;)), and she's writing to kidney specialist (again!) to see if we can stop the weekly jab. I didn't realise but they've all had face to face meetings about Rhys, back in November!

Developmentally, she's very happy, but says she can feel some slight resistance in his arms and legs so wants the physio to give us exercises to do. Tbh, she said this last time and the physio dismissed it, but we have a new physio next month so we'll see what they say.

Weight wise, she said she wasn't happy when she saw the number on paper (4oz gain ) but to look at him, he looks fine, not skinny and like "he has a good covering on him". We reweighed him and it was the same  She's not actually that bothered now she's seen him in the flesh so just the same as we have been doing and see how he goes :)

She nearly fell over when I said I was still expressing :rotfl: Then hugged me when I said I was doing BFing supporter training :D I told her I was stopping at a year "because I've done my bit then" and she said she thought I'd done more than my bit :o Apparently her daughter didn't take to BFing so she expressed for 8wks and that was enough for her :)

She said he's an amazing little boy who is doing remarkably well considering the start he had. Said she'd never been so stressed over a baby before and she'd still be talking about him when she's walking round with her zimmer frame ;)

glam - we are trying that, it's just that she's into the big things this week!!! TBH she's really good and I know she's just exploring, but I can't wait until I can explain and she'll understand!

sami - good on your MIL! I'm being nosey and wondering what she paid for it..... It really is great work. I've been depressing myself by looking at lots of other fabulous cake work online. I just need to keep going and I'll get there one day.
I don't know what she paid but I do know my mums friend got a bigger fancy cake from the same place that was £70  I'm far too tight to pay that, my wedding cake was £60 i think (mum paid) from my dads step cousin, I was *this* close to saying sod it we'll have a delia victoria sponge :rotfl:

ohh google tell me they have a website http://www.thecakeboutique.co.uk/

It really does make me laugh! Especially when she imitates me to Jamie! :o.

Her current favourite when I ask her for a cuddle is 'oh no thanks, Mummy'! But at least she has manners! :rotfl:

We could always arrange another mini meet at the Trafford Centre before then - hopefully Jillie, Dora, Jakesmummy )and everyone else who is close that I can't remember!) can come to.

That's outrageous! But you can follow up and say "Attempted to blackmail for return postage - see other recent feedback left by this buyer." Factual and not abusive at all :)

Jenny it was this one - expensive but it looks nice. Littlewoods have 3 for 2 on some of their swimwear too (tankini?) and MrsM was nice enough to give me some codes I can pass on if you want.

    What an unpleasant woman, MOTM.

Thanks SS, will have a look at those. Also thanks for letting us know the TMI, I was too embarrassed to ask my HV when it should start getting better so had to ask my sister instead :o.
    ....
Jenny- I want to go to buggyfit but think the cost is a bit prohibitive, plus you have to pre-pay a certain number of classes at our one which puts me off a bit.

    ...

When I asked about the price she said she wanted to charge for a number of sessions but hasn't got organised yet because she lost her licence and had to change the name of the group  The class seemed good though so I'm not worried and like you I prefer to pay each week. Next week she is going to check if my muscles have come back together on my tummy  I'm going to put off those situps until she has given me the all clear. Now I just need to find baby singing group and a swimming session for babies (and then I really will have to budget a bit better)
