Oh good 3, sounds like it was a good night overall, main thing is you didn't end up looking like a nutter;):p

I am tired now so going to bed...my poor body can't cope:cool:

Oh - and does 'No' count as a first word? I picked Benjamin up from the CM and he sat on my knee trying to eat my necklace (big chunky wooden thing) and I said 'No, no Benjamin' and he looked at me, laughed and said 'No, no' :rotfl:
    yeeeeaahhhh!!! :j:j
My first word was Bear as in care bear (can you tell what "your getting a little brother/sister so deal with it" book my parents chose :D)

Hi all, just about skimmed my way through today's posts... one 500g pack of mince for one meal for OH and I and typically a light lunch for the next day. One large onion or 1.5 medium ones... etc.

Whee, my SIL has just gone into labour with her first :) no problems up til now, bubs is a week late but she is currently happily in the birthing pool I hear!
Brother's OH? I'm so jealous!!! I want to be an aunty, my sis wrote on my fb that the latest Chris pics "make me want a cute skiing baby of my own" and later she said her OH did a little sick in his mouth :p:rolleyes:

you all still going on about mince? :D

Uhm... 500g makes 2 adult and 2 child portions of spaggy bol plus a tray of lasagne to make 6 good sized portions. Bulked out with 2 tins tomatoes, 1 tub pasatta, lots of onion, mushroom, pepper, carrot and tomatoe puree to thicken.

    Yep, its fun:D

Can't believe you've mentioned Lasagne and started me off again!
500g= lasagne for 1 night between 3

I don't know how much more she can take, never seen her like this. She hasn't even eaten today and only got 4hrs sleep last night. Really worried.

Is it the same friend with the prat OH from the other night?

(i'm really hoping that was Tara's friend the other night, and not Tia's. I have this strange mental condition that always confuses Tara and Tia. Does anyone else suffer?)

My sympathy to you Sami. I'll never be an Auntie. My children have put my sister off for life. :o

Yes, same friend, he has been hiding his phone and got a text from a girl last night. Her name flashed up when it went off but her being so decent didn't read it!

Sami, Maddy will beat you to being an Auntie!

    MM, where'd you go?

Edit: I of course would have read it then shoved it up his !!!!!
Too many children, too little time!!!
    :p
  • Tara your poor friend :( At least she has you to look out for her :)

I want to be an aunty again, but no chance of that for the time being. Nephew I have has quite bad CP, and I don't think they could manage a baby too (not sure if they would want another one either... not something we've ever discussed, just get that feeling iyswim). SIL has had endometriosis, and has given ttc up as a bad job. And my brother has had 1 girlfriend ever (as far as I'm aware - there may have been others he hasn't owned up to :rotfl:). It is still all down to us I think!

Yep, cabriofix one...only thing is I am making things more difficult for myself as I need the one that is called chilli (i think it is) as it matches the red and orange on the pushchair!!!! See we should stick to the black....

Does anyone else think the red iCandy is a girly colour??

Oh Tara your poor friend! What an absolute !!!!!!! Does she know who the girl is?

How funny Maddy being an auntie. My little sister was 8 when I made her an auntie and I thought that was funny!

Mel red's not girly as long as its a proper red and not a pinky red iykwim? When I was reading reviews about my Zia, a lot of the complaints were that the red was too pink.

ETA: Tara so would I have!

500g mince does 4 meals here, usually 2 spag bols and then I put chilli powder in it and serve it as chilli the next day! OH moans if I try and bulk it out at all, cos he is a meat addict  He squinnies if I put two tins of tomatoes in it!! He also moans if there is too much veg, so I am allowed to put in one medium onion and nothing else except as many mushrooms as I like  weirdo!

We got first blood today
Seth was crawling along and smacked his head on the floor, and his bottom teeth bit through his top lip, it was horrible and bloody and now its swollen but he's ok. I cried for longer than he did :o
