sainsburys have 1/3 off nappies on now!
Also the one thing I forgot when I went into hospital when DS2 was born was my shoes!!! My home birth got cancelled part way and was transferred into hospital via ambulance in my nightie, thankfully I'd packed a hospital bag (with full set of clothes including spare bra!) but wasn't til after Reece was born I realised I had no shoes to go home with. I stayed in overnight and DH bought some shoes with him for me to go home in but they were my mums and a size too big - was really funny though!
Charlie changed to cows milk about a week before his birthday as that was when is formula milk carton ran out! Just straight swoped him but he wasn't bothered:heart2: Charlie born Aug 2007 :heart2: Reece born May 2009

Silly question time.
Am I right in thinking babies can/should go onto full fat cows milk at 1?
And do you introduce it gradually? Like one bottle a day to start with?
Yes, cows milk at one.
But I'm using 1+ toddler milk for a few months for Jamie now he is one and made the switch by subbing a few scoops each day so he couldn't tell the diff.

:rotfl: Claire I lost a pair of shoes in the delivery suite - I'd taken off my shoes but was then transferred to the operating room for the C-section, but my shoes didn't make it and were never seen again.
I didn't mind so much, I'd been wearing them since I'd swollen out of all my others and they smelled like the unwashed sulphuric armpits of the devil himself.
Edit: Hi SB, I'm just sore in the hip and no idea why. And I can't take most stuff because I'm breastfeeding so I'm just limping around in a temper.
What makes it even worse is that someone said to me on Saturday night that "I look great for my age". I'm 30 and was outraged - but my geriatric hip is causing great mirth among some of my friends.Organised Birthdays and Christmas: Spend So Far: £193.75; Saved from RRP £963.76

Talking of milk.. I have a request for weezl, pretty please
Do you know of any reliable resources where I can find out the potassium and phosphate content of different types of milk please? There is a question over whether Rhys will be able to have cows milk because of his kidneys so I just wondered if other types of milk are lower in those..

I've now found out that singing the 'Special Agent Oso' theme tune to Elena gives her a mega fit of the giggles...and the hiccups

officially scared now ...
just got off the phone with the HV about rearranging to see her re LO's sleeping (and also food). i tried to get her to meet me in town so i could fully take in what she was saying without having to watch LO and stop her climbing everything.
anyway, she wants to come to the house so that she can 'observe' LO as it may be relevant to how to put the sleep plan into action.
now dont get me wrong, i need help with this as LO walks all over me when it comes to sleep, but i am just worried i am going to feel even more of a failure as a mum after wednesday than i do already.0 -
((hugs)) af you're not a failure but sometimes even i admit i need help .. i would offer you a cuppa but im out of milk
