I think teh actual waiting list for any op is 18wks (maybe 16?) but in reality its a lot longer as you havae to jump through a lot of hoops just to get on the list in the first place!!
My Mum was on about a gastric band and IIRC its not easy to get referred and they see it as a last option once you have seen dietician, exercise even medication ect

I asked my GP for a referal thinking it'd take a long time but she said it'd be 4 months so I should ask again when I've stopped breastfeeding. I fit the NICE guideline for the op, and I'm hopeful they'll agree that I'm a good candidate.

Mm hope you feel better soon.

Ss, what does tour job involve? Have you answered crazy questions for me previously? I'm scared of saying too much if you are in the know! Paranoia overdrive now! Eep I bet you think I should be where you work instead of out!

Thats good then, sounds like you've already done the groundwork. You'll probably get an appointment at the hospital at some point then that Doctor will put you onto the actual 'list' and you'll be 18 wks from there.
How will that work if you decide to have another baby tho? (Excuse my noseyness I learned from Tia)
  • OK, SB I'm blaming you if its crap, I have never watched dancing on ice before, but have just turned it on !!! :p
