MOTM, when I did something expensively daft (I rode my bike into the tail-light of a vintage Morgan), I was grounded and made to pay half of the cost, not all of it as it was excessive, but enough to make a serious dent in my savings.

Ouch! I hope you learnt your lesson :rotfl:

Yup! Personally I would be making her pay it all. She's old enough for a full-time job or take it out of future spending money. She's likely to only do it once. I'm from a strict family but it didn't do me any harm.

I'm soft, but only because their Mother's were overly harsh including physically and verbally - part of the reason i'm no longer with them. I've found being soft but being open has earnt me respect that I find not many kids have for their parents, especially teenagers. I don't know of any other teenagers who tell their Dad's that they love them and kiss them in public and we talk all the taboo stuff. I do agree she needs to repay in some way and learn from it, although I won't be asking her to get a job on weekends as I enjoy my time with her. Even if I don't like her phone habits :o
MOTM, I would most definately take all the money from DD. Harsh maybe but a very valuable life lesson and hopefully something she won't repeat.

Yes, she needs to learn and she will. I think the fact i'm disappointed in her has upset her more than any anger I could have shown. If their is one thing my girls hate more than any other, it's me being upset and/or disappointed with them.

    Evening :)
Kids in bed and ...... both sleeping !!:T Its not even 9.30 and shes asleep :D:j

They are in till 12 in nursery, then 2pm primary 1,2 and 3 and then 3pm for 4 - 7 and then most secondry schools are 3.25pm

Hydro went really well today, she is really happy with him, shoulder is loosening up nicely. He was even reaching out infront of him to grab the beach ball and tried to eat the boat !! All good ;)

Hope you are all well xx

Found it, and I am sorry, I just glanced at the page without really reading it.

Were hands open? I did see in your facebook a pic of him with the hand open nicely, looked very relaxed (the hand), pics just before Christmas I think. What about regular day times, is he opening them without prompting yet? His shoulder, is it tight so he can't bring the arm above his head?

    And also, (((hugs)))

Those are my favourite posts MM, I love hearing about everyone's little progresses and successes and challenges, especially when they're so important like Dylan's development :)! But I am terrible about posting :( on a similar sort of note ish, I was really pleased when Bailey posted an update earlier and only much later did I think ack no-one responded will she be feeling like an alien now? etc.

Hugs for MM (and the 400 other posters I've liked the posts of but failed to reply to today) :/

    'night all

Elle We pick ours up at the photo bit but i think it just depends what dept is closest the stock room!!
Erm, once or twice maybe! :o:whistle:

I always collect at the ordinally tills and they toddle off to find it.

You might have to unpack the delivery box to get them in the basket (but of course flatten and bring home said box for eBay stuffs!).

    xx

I think they must all be different Elle, as you have to collect ours from the photo bit like Scruffy, but unlike SB.
This is going to sound incredibly stupid, and I know it was only passed over as the BF talking was happening, but no one said well done to Dylan for improving at his hydro and reaching for things :(
I never normally care when my posts are passed over, cuz I do it all the time without meaning it, or not realising I should reply, but for some reason, hormones have got to me tonight and I have got an incy wee bit upset about it :o sorry

Self indulgent selfish hormonal post over
    as you were ;)

Oh honey, I'm so sorry, I read it and meant to reply. I don't know why I didn't. I know it's too late but big jumps in the air for Dylan being such a clever boy :j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j and big hugs to you xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

    thank you :o

He is opening his left hand pretty much all the time now - no prompting needed, and his right hand if you go to pass him something, but the rest of the time still in a fist, but not as tight, so its getting there too

His shoulder is more that he straightens his right arm and stiffens it to the point that you cannot move it without force when he is excited or tired or upset. When he is relaxed, he has full free movement of the arms, but he does this alot !! But she said the muscle def wasnt as tight today when he was getting jumpy in the water, so the massage seems to be working on it !!

Still catching up but DD had a mobile bill for £140 in October. It was a brand new phone she got for her birthday in September, she'd had a contract for 2 yrs and never gone over her minutes before! Turned out it was a boy she was phoning lol
Anyway I gave her 3 options for her to repay it
    1) Sell new phone and pay it off in one
    2) Return big xmas prezzie that I had already bought and pay it off in one
    3) Pay it off her pocket money at £15 a week til it was clear.

She picked 3 and just started getting PM again on Saturday there now it is paid, I gave her a payment card and marked the money off weekly.
There was never a time where she was getting away with it!!!!
She has repaid every single penny and never gone over minutes again

Good to hear you got it sorted and she had options. Does she still know the boy or did she dump him for being too expensive? :rotfl:
MOTM - this happened to friends of ours on one of the xfactor finals we all went round to a house with the kids to watch it - one of my friends girls who was about 14 at the time 'borrowed' the house owners mobile to vote - he has said she could vote a couple of times!!!! when the bill came she had used £65 on votes:eek: and more shockingly when her parents were told they didnt even offer to pay for it! Not sticking up for her and I think she should work to pay it back but think its very easy to run up a big total without realising it:o

It can be easy to rack up a big bill, but 246 votes  Very bad of your friends not to offer to pay the bill. Were they even asked too in the end?

MOTM - Hope your chat with dd15 went ok....And it is easy to run up a big bill on those silly phone-ins without realising. My old manager did it when gareth gates and will young were finalists...and she is in her 50's, but just didn't realise just how nany times she had phoned up!!!!
    [/QUOTE]

She's okay, i'm okay and everyone is okay. Wasn't as bad as I had feared, though the bill is still the same  I thought yesterday when told that child tax credits would be reduced by about 35% only that it was too good to be true that we were keeping alot of money I thought we'd lose and it kind of was...I lost some of it today to BT

Did your manager vote for Gareth Gates? Saying that, Will Young isn't much better....sorry and Gareth and Will fans ;)
