Still here - doing shopping list!

Aless - Try to relax and not worry too much about doing stuff with Finn. At his age, he can only see your outline as far as I am aware so can't even see your features yet with regards to making faces. Just cuddle him and talk gently to him for the moment is probably all that's required. I think Holly probably has much more interaction than most babies I know, but I was still worried that it wasn't enough. However at Finn's age, I would just relax and settle into your new way of life. All he wants to do is eat and sleep just now. How is your breastfeeding going?

Make sure you ask the HV about groups as they might not volunteer the information. There really isn't much about here. I found the Netmums website quite good for finding out about local things/things a bit further afield. Have you looked at it?

BTW - don't worry about crying yourself either. The baby blues can last longer than a few days! I cried every day for the first 2 weeks!!! :o

Its a shame there is not much where you are, we have at least 1 M&T group a day, baby massage, yoga, rhymetime at the library, booby group, baby clinic and lots more! I obviously don't go to everything!
I think you should move here:cool:

(ETA This is all within the one town so in theory this is all walking distance for everyone about 3 mile round trip at the most. I never realised that this was anything special)

BF seems to be going really well, thx.

I'll stop hogging the thread :p

(btw, I remember xmaslolly's announcement on the pregnancy thread, so she deffo came over there to let us know!)

GISI - my Jojo Maman Bebe order arrived today. Just a velour sleepsuit and a dress but look lovely, so thanks for the tip!

Csh - I go to Baby Sensory on a Thu and Mother & Baby on a Fri, but neither are near me so I drive to them. I think there is a Mother & Baby group near me but it clashes with Baby Sensory. I don't mind though as I go to things near my home town and I have a couple of friends there with babies of a similar age so it's fine for me. Would like to move back there some time anyway. Going to start Rhyme Time in the new year too whicih I think is a Tue. That leaves Wed for Baby Clinic and Monday for....shopping??!! Although next Monday it's more jags but I think that's the last for a while. Keep meaning to go swimming too but think I want to do that with DH for the first time when schools are back rather than on my own.
There is a long waiting list for Baby Massage as I have been waiting since Holly was born! And it's the same in surrounding areas unfortunately.

Aless - you are not hogging the thread. My mammoth posts are! Definitely going this time!!! Shower is running. ha ha.

I have put sellotape over my mouth...mmmm mmm mmm.....

Molly has taken to making this noise too - she clamps her mouth shut and yells MMMMMMMMMMMMMM MMMMMMMMMMM through her closed lips :rotfl:

:grouphug: Aless - I can't imagine how hard it must be for you without your mother. I start sobbing whenever I think of my grandmother and Molly never getting to meet her.

I also cry at charity ads on the television - all it takes is one solemn big-eyed child staring off the screen at me and I'm in floods.
