Yes, Holly is eating her fists, muslins and some toys and has an almighty grip on your finger with her gums. She doesn't seem interested in the teething toys though? She prefers to stick the softer toys in her mouth. I think she is teething as the amount of drool is ridiculous and her cheeks keep going very red, but it can't be that bad as she doesn't seem too bothered by it at the moment.

I must have missed XL announcing her pregnancy too.

Jillie, today is still a holiday in Scotland so planning to start the Wii Fit tomorrow! Now need to go and get showered and get to shops so I can buy some healthy food otherwise we won't be ready to start healthy eating tomorrow!

Csh - not sure about BLW. I have only heard of it on here with Krystal, Sami etc talking about it, but would need to read up on it as I don't know much about it.

    Catch you all later.

    ETA:
MM - lovely picture of Dylan
Elle - sorry you didn't have a good experience at hospital, do something nice this afternoon.
SS - glad you have finished your work for the day. I was following your progress on Facebook! ha ha.

Hello to everone else. Sorry for my lengthy posts. I can't half talk...

.. aww elle, did you get the not very nice nurse?

xmaslolly came on to tell us a couple of weeks ago that she was pg again.

I didn't imagine it then - I thought we'd known about xmaslolly for a while! (congrats hun, if you're lurking!).

Nope, actually it was one of the registrars from the ward who's been treating Rhys since he was born. It was nice to see him again, just not watch him try to get blood out of a very ungenerous Rhys (he's got four plasters on him now!).

Little tyke has just fallen asleep. He's been fighting it since we got back - seems to think 10 minutes in the car is sufficient when it's clearly not! Changed him (funky cord trousers!) and just put him in his swing while I made him a bottle, thinking that'd make him cave to sleep and he's zonked out in the swing!

I think I'm supposed to be picking OH up from work so we'll go to the bank and post office then go for OH later :)

yay jillie for fitness! I've been meaning to step on mine today as I've not actually weighed myself since having Finn. Wondering how it will freak out, since actually last did it the day he was born (was doing loads of the step aerobics to help get baby out, LOL) :p.

hugs elle, just remember he's already forgotten!

GISI, that BM looks like a good bargain. We've got one but I actually tend to do handmade most of the time since I found a killer recipe and don't wanna go back. Of course now that Finn's here I might need the BM more as we're on our last HM loaf from the freezer.

I'm still at a bit of a loss of what we're necessarily supposed to be *doing* when he's not sleeping/feeding. I've tried playing with him (making faces, doing silly finger puppet things) when he's awake, but mostly he's not interested and either ignores me or acts sleepy! He seems happy enough, so I guess just let him dictate when he wants to play?

Likely going to be discharged by MW on Friday at our appt and I assume HV should be in touch ASAP as not heard from them yet. Will the HV give me details of local baby clubs/booby groups/clinics, etc? Because I don't really know anything around here and deffo want to get out and do things with him as soon as so we're not cooped up all day.

    Hi all,

I insist you leave the house Elle if only to buy some chocolate!

((Hugs)) for those back at work and those whose ML has come to an end. Having spent 2 wonderful weeks with Leila, I am dreading going back to work tomorrow.

Just updated my 'Leila Manual' for the CM because of weaning, sitting unaided, increased rolling etc. Its hard not to oversimplify everything as I dont want to sound patronising as the CM has a child of her own but I think i'd rather be safe than sorry so I hope she doesnt take offence!

Right better try to persuade Leila that she would like a nap around about now

  • Thanks for the BM advice folks. I have reserved the last one at our local store.

Aless- HV should be able to let you know about things going on near you. Did you not get any leaflets when you were in hospital?

Elle- glad Rhys is okay now.

Fitz- at baby clinic today Henry was bigger than both the 10 week old and the 16 week old we were sat with. I wish they could be weighed in clothes here. It would be so much easier, especially in this weather.

LOL - when I dropped Benjamin off this morning the CM asked if there was anything different in his routine and I just told her she needed to get him back into one!

She was expecting him to go back a walker though so I feel like a failed mummy :(

Nice to see you Mooki xx

ETA - the failed mummy bit was tongue in cheek!!
