Too adventurous for me with a small baby, Feely! ;) We were talking about holidays last night. Going to have a week in June somewhere.. either Scotland, Cornwall or North Wales

After epic trip the other day, I'm confident! Managed mile walk, bus ride, 3.5 hour train, tube across London, another train then another walk - with LO in a sling, a rucksack and an overnight bag. Don't think a plane with OH to help will be harder than that!

I feel like I've not spoken to you in yonks, how are things?

Crikey, that's some trek! :D I ache thinking about it so I dread to think how you were after actually doing it ;)

Things are good ta. Were crappy, but better now. I got a book on exclusive expressing for Christmas, you might like it :) How's Toby doing now? Over his high temp?

His temperature came down yesterday, as mine went up. I hit 39.5 today, but feel okay this evening. Didn't get out of bed till 2pm, felt so weak. Can stand up again now which is good!

He is doing great, is into everything. Can stand with just one hand gently resting on something, and keeps trying to stand alone! Crawlling is super fast, as is climbing. Nothing is safe! Stair gates are up now.

Sounds like a good book, let me know if it is interesting. I am amazed at how well you've done you know.

I'm a bit down, family problems. Something is wrong with my Mum but she won't tell me, hence the me sneaking out at 8am before everyone was up to get the train back to OH. Had to leave behind most of my things, could only fit a few clothes in the back, along with the two cameras and two camcorders. Still don't really understand, but I've lost my closest ally. Things are emotional here, but there isn't anywhere else now.

Thankyou :o I read the first 20ish pages last night. The author was saying exclusive expressing is rarely mentioned as a long-term option so a lot of women when faced with the prospect don't know if it is an option.. I thought back and I only knew it was a long-term option because I knew you'd done it! :D Noone at this hospital ever talked about it; noone said it was an option, it was like they didn't want to talk about what happened when Rhys went home but I'm not sure they ever believed I would carry it on this long - have to admit, I do like telling them when I call in to see the nurses on the ward! ;):p Can't wait to start my peer supporter training so I can help others and be someone else's example :o

Hope you feel better soon xx

ETA: Oh, you added an extra bit while I was typing! :) You've always got us to sound off to, you know. When are you thinking of going on this holiday? Am sure your Mum will tell you in time.. maybe she just needs time to think for a while :) Try not to worry xx

Wow, that's a long time ago. You must have been one of the first. DH had it done about five years ago. He had to have LASEK rather than LASIK, so the recovery time was longer, and he had a couple of complications which were uncommon but quite painful. However, although I'm nervous it hasn't put me off.

I was pretty early - I remember having to wait a year (til I was 21 I think) though, so must've been at least its second year commercially :) I paid £400 an eye, it was pre-LASIK I am nearly sure, trying to remember what the acronym was... *ponder* ETA it was PRK

Wow! Toby wasn't hot, in your ingenious russian-doll sling in a rucksack in a suitcase? ;) Effortful journey!
