  • i do online banking ive done it the day before, before its ok it goes out then refunded if you know what i mean x

Are you sure you have done it this late the day before ???
I work in banking SM, I know you cant cancel a DD of any kind in any bank the day before its due to be paid. Be careful is all I am saying BTW, not that youre wrong :o
If you have been able to change the amount then it has to be a SO as you cant control the amout of a DD, only the people taking the money can.

SM, here...http://ask.barclays.co.uk/help/online_banking/cancel_notice you can only cancel the day before online if it's before 5.30pm, otherwise it's in branch.

I also worked in a bank like MM, dealing with customers at the desk with problems like this. XXX

tara it is technically the day before as its not due out til the 1st x
    :)Still searching .....:)
  • No thats what I was trying to explain SM, DDs dont actually have a due date, they have an average date, so your cancellation has to be done the day before it is collected, not the date you have been given

Have you looked back over a years history to just double check the date, mine shows several for the same payment, usually up to 4 days apart. But I will shut up now! :o

MIL just rang and asked OH if Ben could go stay, no bl00dy way. He's looking sheepish as he know's he never backed me on the incident in October even though he promised he would so this is the consequences, and it ain't gonna change!

whispers *change it to a standing order for next time SM*

How long does the shrieking-like-two-cats-fighting stage go on for? It's not a new thing, Rhys just seems to shriek for longer more often now! Funny kid..
