And anyone looking for a carseat, we spotted this on in Argos. http://www.argos.co.uk/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/ProductDisplay?storeId=10001&catalogId=1500001801&langId=-1&productId=1500484941

We've bought one as a second seat in MIL's car - not expecting much for the price. But its really nice, reclines and V looks comfy in it. So we might get another for us.

Its actually suitable from birth to 4, but looks a bit too upright for a new baby.

This is the one we went for in the end...and I can honestly say we prefer it to one that we paid over 100 quid for for ds1:confused: It doesn't take up as much room in the car for a start. I am going to get another ready for new baby, but as you say, not sure if it really reclines enough for a newborn. I have the travel system car seat anyway if I am not happy with the newbie in this seat.

Mel.. nebby question, how far along are you now and when do you find out if the newbie is DS4 or DD1? :)
  • :hello: and congratulations to all the newbies

Elastigirl - I agree with all the other posters.

Had a lovely MSE afternoon - took DD to our local Wacky Warehouse for lunch and a play (£5 for a main, dessert and drink). The play ended up being free as the girl that was meant to be serving was in the pub bit helping to serve food.

I was also chuffed with myself as I checked the receipt when DH returned after ordering the food and I worked out that we had been overcharged - got the money back plus a free dessert!

    Glad you're feeling better Elle
Proud to be dealing with my debts
    DD Katie born April 2007!
3 years 9 months and proud of it
    dreams do come true (eventually!)

    Hello,

Back from shopping. Have ordered swinging crib from John Lewis as they don't keep it in store, so we won't have it until 5th Jan. H will need to put up with her cramped conditions until then.

Elle - I never fancied the look of that crib you have, but it has grown on me, and I can see the merit of the softer sides.

Tia - We looked at the Mura and nearly bought it, but in the end went for the Loola Up which I think you also fancy. We decided against the Mura as it was really heavy. The Loola can be a bit heavy too, but not as bad. Really liked the look of the Mura though but glad we went with the Loola as it's so easy to manouvre and great for folding. I am not sure if the Mura can fold with the seat unit attached - I can't remember. The Loola can be. H has only been in the pram body up until today, but was in the pushchair today and loved it. It's great as it's got different positions so could still lie her flat for sleeping. She was mesmerised at sitting up seeing everything going on around her.

Thanks Fitz, DH is reluctant to get the mura, he keeps refering to 'the one I wanted' (loola) and the 'new pram fund', which is his way of saying 'just save up twenty quid or so and go buy the loola because I prefere that one and my little princess deserves it' :D

Sami, I went for the engage (?) CTF on quidco and it has tracked, how long does it take to clear? Cos basically when it clears DH says I've to use it for my pram (just get the pram when that clears) :D And thank you, it is a very good deal. Now to find out if I can open savings accounts for the boys too and then I can get around to giving them £10 a month into it.

I'm glad someone real has it and likes it. :D
I'm a bit daft, thinking it can't be any good for that price - but it seems to be. I've just reserved another at Argos for us to keep. I think if we'd got an expensive one, we'd have only got one and would have swapped between cars - but this will make life easier having two for the price of one!

9th Feb was Vs due date. How quick did that year go! Did you find out what you were having with the other three?

hello all I am havin a lazy half hour before going to put our chickens to bed so just time for a quick qu and to say thanks for the littlewoods grabbit for one pound jeans the other day. They came today - super quick!!

So question is does anyone know where I can buy a flat bookshelf like you get at schools and playgroups - where the book faces you? I'd like one for archies room - the cheaper the better - we aren't near an ikea so it will have to be somewhere that delivers if not a local shop.

    thanks :D.

Archie is doing a wee a day in the potty now :D. will potty train next year now though as he will still do it in his bottoms if I try leaving a nappy off.
